I just spent alot of time posting!
I see that, looks like you hit a small bump.
Pictured: Small Bump
What happened?
Well, someone set up us the bomb?
I'm serious!
Oh, well.. looks like your post got pulled.
Augh! I spent alot of effort on that! How did it happen?!
Couldn't be because you were doing it wrong?
What the, how'd you get that video of m-- uh.. I don't even wear that!
Right Skippy. *cough* Well, since you asked, here's how posts get removed.
First, if it is against TOS it gets seen.
Then it gets marked.
Okay, I have that much.
Then the mods gather:
Pictured, mods gathering.
I don't think that's how it looks, I..
Look, do you want an answer or not?
...Yes?
Right, carrying on.
Then they back their vehicle up to your post.
Whoah! What the heck is that thing?!
It's a machine, that eats other machines.
With this:
I don't see what this has to do with my post vanishing, can you tell me wha-
Watch it question boy! I have a flamethrower!
You want to vanish like your dog did?
What the?! No, not Roozer too!
To be fair, your dog WAS drunk.
What?! Who would even... please don't point that flamethrower at me.
Right, and after they saw your post off the entire forum, they set it on fire.
Wait.. that man. His face, and fire! Oh GOD WHY?!
Oh, HIS post was all about his face, so the mods set it on fire.
After that, they used the ashes to open a gate between our world and theirs, like this:
BLECH! That's horrible!
And those tentacles! GAAAH!
If you think that's bad, you should see what happens when the mods get their hands on a bad thread.
Pictured: Mod hands
Oh look, here comes a mod now.
Looks like they want to ask you about that thread you just posted.
Gaaah! Tell them I'm indisposed!
Pictured: Moderator, dunno which one.
Tell them yourself, they're right behind you.
Wait, don't run away!
We haven't gotten to what happens when they edit your thread title!
This concludes our sordid fictional tale.
If you liked that, we have plenty more in the book "Oh the horrible things you'll summon!" rumored to be written by IamnotaMod
Awwww....how sweet of you! *hug*
I’m sorry. I was MIA overnight, baby-sitting with the little redhead while my niece when to visit her dad in St. George.
I’m home now, but not feeling all that great.
It’s good to be back.
I’ve used Roxio software to do the VHS >> DVD thing, and it worked OK for me. The setup was not difficult, the documentation was good, and operation was fairly straightforward, which is what you’d want. What limitations I ran into were attributable to aging hardware, not software deficiencies. That said, their products (on Amazon, at least) get about equal numbers of one and five-star reviews, and I haven’t scoured them to ascertain whether the poor reviews are coming from people who may be unwittingly blaming the software for limitations of their own hardware.
In any case, a better product for your purposes may be this:

The five-star reviews FAR outweigh the lower ratings, and — while the Roxio VHS to DVD software can be had for half the price — I think $80 is well worth having a product that actually performs well right out of the box, especially as all of this VHS > DVD work is being done for archival purposes.
Save your nickles and dimes, and level up; I think you’ll be happy you did.
Glad you are back ... May your day improve.
The truth is the truth is the truth.
WOW! Thanks! It looks pretty affordable as well as easy. I save the link for future reference, so thank you very much!
Thanks! It will. I just have to figure out a way to get the windows in the truck tinted before too much more time passes, or I will be stuck at home forever.
Stuck at home forever ... sounds like my travel plans for tomorrow.
LoL!
Either stuck at home forever, or forced to do everything at the crack of dawn. Not that I would mind, but doctors don’t have those kinds of hours. ;o]
How is the vacation going? I’m hoping you are able to enjoy it a little better this time.
Not if, when.
What we have here is the predecessor of what would become the Borg. Of course that won't be for a few centuries. so don't worry for now. You won't live to see it in its final form...
Yes, things are going better than some previous occasions. No screaming fights! Anoreth and Bill went to the mall. The rental agency fixed a toilet. DP
has gone to Walmart to get ice cream. It’s strange going to Walmart and not seeing anyone I know.
I didn't know they moved Rolling Thunder.. I thought it was still in Joisey.
I went to a Walmart with my niece yesterday, before she headed for St. George, and it is HUGH!!! It has to be, by far, the largest Walmart I have ever seen. I needed binoculars to see the back of the store.
And forget ice cream. There were six aisles (or maybe seven) of frozen food, and I don’t think I saw the one with ice cream in it....
I DID see swim suits on sale, but I still have one bill left to pay, so the swim suit will have to wait again. But that’s OK. I’m not going anywhere...the pool is actually within walking distance, if I felt energetic, and it opens at 0500, so that may be an option. :o])
That looks like the one at Lagoon, an amusement park north of Salt Lake City that has been packing folks in every summer for ages.

Not so sure on that statement...I'm sure I work with a few Borg.
