Rick Rubin (producer of Johnny Cash and the RHCPs), calls Brown’s performance “the single greatest rock & roll performance ever captured on film.”

I actually walked out on the Dreadful Grape once. The Stones opened for them, but only to allow Jerry his three hour solos. I also gave up on a hot chick once upon learning that she liked the Grape. Big mistake!

You are so right about Jeff Beck. Sad that so many thought Beck was a great guitarist and never heard of Al Di Meola. Terry Kath from Chicago is another musician from that age that few understood his enormous skill. I bet you are a musician.
