The grandaddy of cereal slogans is for Quaker Puffed Rice. The cereal is actually made using a process that resembles shooting rice from a gun. In 1904, Quaker introduced the cereal to the mass public by shooting Puffed Rice from cannons at the World's Fair. In 1913, an astute ad man decided to promote the cereal by exploiting how it's made and this famous, yet mostly forgotten, slogan was invented.

>> more nutritious than instant oatmeal w/ maple and brown sugar..
That’s a really, really low bar. That stuff is atrocious!
Honey Bunches of Oats has a glycemic load in the medium range and Cheerios is in the high range. Also, Cheerios has a high level of manganese which can be harmful to re-pubescent children.
You want a nice solid dump, eat about 80% veggies/fruits/fungi/bacteria to about 20% animal protein/fat. You'll be in and out with nobody hurt in no time flat.
You want chocolate, eat some 60%+ cacao and your body will thank you. Pound for pound there isn't much more nutritious than foods from cacao. I'd debate coconuts and avocado may be more nutritious, but they ain't chocolate.
They're cut with a sharp steel blade...big whoop...Twice the price at least...
People are getting robbed.
Fructose (far sweeter than glucose) is the real culprit. Honey is mostly fructose and fructose alone is better than fructose/glucose combinations (ie, white sugar). When there is too much fructose the liver cannot process all of it and the body turns it to fat. When glucose and fructose are combined, more fructose is absorbed than when fructose is consumed alone. Small amounts of fructose actually help your body process glucose. In short, all other benefits of honey aside, small amounts of honey are not hard on the body and can benefit glucose to energy production.
Follow the munny hunny. The lies are so gigantic it’s hard to see over or around them. Eat primal and your health will be better - plain and simple.
I will never understand people paying a buck for a 12 ox bottle of water when they can turn on the tap.

It doesn't have anything to do with "better" for you. Unlike instant oatmeal, steel cut oatmeal doesn't taste like wallpaper paste.
I use Quick Oats, cooks in one minute. Quaker is the major brand, but I have a store brand from Bottom Dollar that is grainy and isn’t like wallpaper paste.
Well for lack of a better explanation all water is not created equal. Tap water has no "structure" and filtered water has even less "structure". For water with "structure" you have to do it yourself or find a good local spring water resource. See the work of Dr. Masaru Emoto if you are interested in structured water.
One way to structure water yourself is to put good intentions into it. As a good Free Republic Spiritual Conservative I’d image you pray over your meals. This is good for the water in your food as it can pick up the good intentions. It’s easy and affordable to thank the Lord and the water for its nourishment before you use it. Can’t hurt. See the multiple individual experiments of people testing Dr Emoto’s theories on water soaked rice. I’ve done it myself and it’s amazing.
No, not really. The pile of steaming manure is the government food pyramid and the cholesterol lie. You can eat what you want. I have absolutely no support for anyone who wants to dictate what others put into their bodies willingly. I will fight to the death for your right to consume whatever you wish. However, there are indeed entire food groups you should not eat to avoid heart disease, diabetes, cancer, etc. Processed sugar and grains are on that list. Humans did not eat grains until the advent of Agri-society. Fructose makes all the difference. There is no place for processed sugar or grains in the human diet. You can live without them and be a healthier person doing it. Note: fermented grains are fantastic for you because of the good flora and fauna in them.
There are plenty of other foods that blow grains (any grain) away when it comes to BRIX measurements (see cacao, avocados, Brussel sprouts or coconuts). And I'm not saying the occasional treat is bad. Everything in moderation. What I am saying is that eating the RDA of grains coupled with 3-6 cokes or a candy bar a day is indeed quantifiably bad. In a nutshell the government food pyramid is a recipe for dis-ease.
Kelloggs Sugar Corn Pops’ slogan used to be “Shot with sugar through and through!” Their commercial showed a child actor shooting and saying, “bang bang!” That was in the ‘50s. Somehow we all survived this horror.
I am a 2nd hand vegetarian: Cow eats grass, I eat cow.
