VFTW says the one hit wonder songs were AT&T fan picks.
Thanks for that. I only knew of “Whiter Shade of Pale”.
I was pretty young then, too.
The Save is Dead, But Apparently Idol Has a Contingency Plan

American Idol Updates
Spoilers
TV Line is confirming that the save is indeed dead for the season, so none of the contestants will be saved now. The problem? Idol still has to run for 4 more weeks and there are only 4 contestants. Because of this year’s schedule, Idol now has to have a week where no one is eliminated.
So what are they planning to do? Well, that’s not for sure. But there would have to be a non-elimination week. So be prepared to be bored out of your mind either this Thursday or next because one of those weeks will be chock full of filler and no elimination. Idol will probably pull a last minute non-elimination so they trick people into watching, which will in turn make people want to stop watching. So typical and so dumb.
If anyone posts in the comments that this makes no sense because 2 people always go home after the save, you will be immediately banned for supidity and not being able to do math. (Story via MJ’s Big Blog)
This sounds like a James Bond song.
Wow, Angela rocks.
ANgie isnt convincing singing a Julie London torch song..........way too “pageant Princess” and too less...”lauren Bacall” if ya know what I mean.....
As if Nicky Minaj has any right to critique anybody else’s singing. What’s so great about her?
Absolutely nothing
Is she the spawn of Valerie Jarrett and Pee Wee Herman?
Watching the recap—I still think Kree was much better than they let on. But Angie was the best of the night.
She really has rocked the house tonight. Very impressed with this young lady this week.
I have a feeling Kree will get the boot tomorrow. Too bad.
And I didn’t like her orange lipstick either! :)
Or maybe not. No elimination I bet.
Surprise twist....tomorrow....no elimination I betcha
I’m just so glad they fixed Angie’s hair.
Agree.
I think they are really overselling Amber—leaving cake in the rain is never a good idea. Just sayin’.
"Cry Me A River"? I think that's what it is. Whatever it's called, it's perfect. Angie wins the night.
Mariah:How is that a one hit wonder? I think classic. You've been holding out on us. Elegant. America is going to have a difficult time choosing from all of you.
Keith: I have three words. Celestial [something, something, something]
Minaj: That's four words. (to Angie) Honey-chile, snatchin' wigs, honey chile. Tonight was your night!
Randy: The. Best. Of. Tha. Night. Hands down. She's in it to win it, Ryan!
Seacrest promises a "shocking twist" will be announced tomorrow night.
That would be just so wrong. She is soooo good! :^/
Or forced cheerfulness (Angie). I agree that Kree seemed the most at ease around these kids, and the crying mom.
