In a rational world, the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray wouldnt exist. The very idea of launching a two-seat sports car named after a World War II ship powered by a truck-sized V-8 goes against every trend line on every chart in every automakers boardroom. Yet here it is, the seventh generation of Americas most venerated sports car, sharpened in all dimensions by racing experience toward out-hustling the best sports cars in the world. The question will be whether it can outrun history.

Looks like a damned Camaro. Nothing too wrong with that, Just saying.
Dang.
Nice.
On second thought, it looks like something out of a Japan design studio.
Nothing wrong with that either?
It looks fat with the high beltline of today’s cars. Too bad.
Don’t look like no ‘Vette to me. Great car, no doubt, but it just don’t look like no ‘Vette.
The back end looks too fat, and the rear tires look undersized
Obama Motors, who cares?
Then, again, it kinda reminds me of back when I was a kid and you had a very pure styling design in the ‘57 Vette and it morphed into the blinged-out ‘58. We then spent 3 model years (’58 - ‘60) until we got back to a somewhat nice ‘61.
GM has lost its way, styling-wise, on and off for 60 years or so.
I fully expect it to turn in to a robot. It has too much ‘stuff’ on it.
Baby’s got back!
I think it’s ugly.
Much better looking than the previous generation IMHO ... I thought they looked like the illegitimate love child of an NSX and a Ferrari.
Do these tires make my back end look fat?
Why does anyone NEED a Corvette? People can get around perfectly well on a bicycle.
I hate black rims except on a dirt track car...
If someone just showed me the picture and asked what was it, ain’t no way I would have said or guessed Vette.
Government Motors copies the Nissan 280-Z
There, ladies and gentlemen, paid for with your hard-earned tax dollars, is the new Nissan Corvette. Put some batteries in it, UAW, and you’ll get a charge out of it. The UAW can convince the Democrats to take my money and pay UAW retirements, but that will be the only way General Motors gets another dime from me. I’ll never buy another General Motors car. I was raised in a union family. I brought food to my Dad when he walked the picket line. But using taxpayer money to payoff the unions is criminal.
Yeah, it just doesn’t say “’vette” to me....
