I'm giving up on Drudge report for a while, not going to visit it.
There is too much subtext going on, incitement and hyperbole, propaganda and manipulation. The picture that often accompany headlines are not in context with the 'moment' but rather stock photographs that portrait an emotion or sense of predicament that the author wants us to feel.
Almost every headline for the past few months have been foreboding impending doom of some sort that I don't want to deal with or be reminded about on a daily basis.
Just sticking with Fox News, they temper that stuff down and keep things in reasonable terms. Townhall does similar things that drudge does, so I haven't been visiting them as often as I once did. Politico, I gave up on politico about 4 months back because of their pro-progressive slants. WND, I visit on occasion because I really like Joe Farrah and his writings, but WND in general lacks veracity and is somewhere between a dubious blog and a dubious news outlet.
I quit watching ALL cable and network ‘news’ since the ‘election’, you wouldn’t believe how liberating it has been.
I check Drudge everyday and follow it up with Free Republic.
Really? You just listed many of the reasons why I go to the Drudge Report! Your whining about it aside, it’s your loss not to read it.

Some people who even consider themselves conservatives will never get it....THERE IS NO GOOD NEWS....It’s not about FEELING GOOD.....We’re in trouble, and at this point I have ZERO tolerance for family or friends who refuse to see the truth.....My only hope is Christ, and I have to repent constantly with my anger issues at the stupidity of folks who are in denial at what is happening.....It’s best to stay away from dumbed down folk if possible whether they be friends or family...At this point there is no pleasure in going out having to deal with Obama’s children and the mindset that surrounds you.......
Good idea. Reading Drudge with blinders on is not a great idea. Same with all news websites...including Fox News.
I don’t permit anyone to carry me anywhere.
I get through those in the course of the day, with lots of searching on google. I like firefox for the add-ons that make surfing and posting easier, like these:

There’s nothing on Drudge’s site that you can’t get elsewhere, without the filter.

I’ve been told I’m unbalanced too, a hypocritical Christian ect....Bad temper, ZERO tolerance for stupidity which is why I rarely go out anymore unless it is necessary...One thing I do know for sure, I would NEVER point my gun at anyone unless is was for self defense...I’ve only been armed for a short time (out of necessity in today’s America which makes me angry in itself) and believe me I’ve had instances where if I were moved by emotions to shoot someone I could have.....And Christ knows my heart and I REPENT and make amends if required (at times even when I was not wrong except in the way I handled myself being confronted by idiotic behavior) just to make sure all is well with my soul......

Maybe one day you’ll realize that all news media are in the business to make money and ditch all of them. Watching any ‘news person’ spew opinion that is supposedly ‘news’ has become so tiresome.

Talk radio doesn’t have out of context pictures, mainly because they don’t have pictures on talk radio.l
Drudge has become a propagandist. Manipulating news headlines via out of context photos that imbue a false sense of emotion about the topic.
SNL, comedy channel, MTV, they all do it for comedic laughs, Drudge is doing it to manipulate.
