Hey, glad you liked my doberman stories. Hans, our first one was quite the character. He ate one of my pretty red slingback highheel shoes when he was little. I was left with one pretty one and one with a chewed up heel. I hated throwing those out.

2 summers ago, I ran out to the garden to get something to add to my lunch plate, and had the plate in the center of the counter. Bart had never gone onto the counter before other than to sniff with his nose. When I got back in the house, it seemed that half of my chicken was mysteriously gone from the plate. Exactly half, very neatly taken, and Bart looking so innocent of his crime.

He’s 6 1/2 now. Still very puppy like in his energy and fun loving demeanor. He even looks like a giant puppy because we do not have dobermans with their ears made to be upright. He has big soft floppy ears.

ALL: I seem to have succombed to my husband’s cold which he got on a 3 day trip last weekend. I was sterilizing everything he touched like the remote, the computer, the phones, but after 3 days I seem to have gotten this cold anyway.

It looks like I can’t go to Thanksgiving at my parent’s house. Unless I feel really good tomorrow I am not going. I can’t risk infecting anyone.
I would like a Thanksgiving morning miracle and feel great when I get up tomorrow.

I hope all of you great friends have
a very Happy Thanksgiving and hope many of you can
spend it with family and friends! We all have so much to be thankful for (except the election)!!
I've been under the weather for a while and have missed ya'll! I have had a
swollen right calf, ankle and foot. The doctor
first thought I had a blood clot
and sent me straight downstairs for a doppler test.
No blood clot! Two trips to the doc and he's not sure
what it was, maybe a strained muscle. They
don't really know so they guess! LOL!

The Joy Of A Generous God

Recently I walked into a hotel lobby that featured the largest arrangement of fresh flowers I have ever seen. It was bursting with color, perfectly arranged, and its fragrance was amazing. It stopped me in my tracks, and I lingered for a moment to admire its beauty. It made me think that there is something about abundance that captures our hearts. Think of the inviting beauty of a bowl overflowing with colorful fruit, or a countertop covered with three or four pies ready for enjoyment after a bountiful Thanksgiving meal.

The joy of abundance reminds me of the generosity of God. He makes our cup overflow (Ps. 23:5); He “is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think” (Eph. 3:20); His grace is sufficient for any difficulty that life brings our way (2 Cor. 12:9); and it is He who kills the fatted calf and calls for the best robe when the prodigal returns (see Luke 15:20-24). No wonder the psalmist rejoices: “How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house” (Ps. 36:7-8). Our God is abundantly good. Let’s overflow with praise for His many blessings.

Lord, thank You for the reminder that far from
being stingy You bless us with good things in
abundance. Thank You for Your presence and
the comfort of the promises in Your Word.

Keep praising God from whom all blessings flow.
