Now celebrating 52 years of helping people on the radio! For over half a century Roy Masters has been helping people overcome their most difficult problems. As the nations first and longest running radio counselor, Roy Masters has advised callers with a unique ability to hear inner problems, heal fears and sexual stresses, and help people take charge of their own lives. Great show and exactly what the world needs! Here is a radio show stations page... http://www.fhu.com/radiostations.html
o boy...you are one shallow person.
o boy...you are one shallow person.
..”Something lies at the root of stress, fear and pain, and that something is anger. What we experience as stress, fear, headaches, fatigue and a multitude of pains we experience as symptoms of anger. Addiction, compulsive habits and even chronic pain all have their roots in our subtlest unseen angers.”...Roy has it exactly correct and as the bible says..”through patience possess ye your souls” So obviously through impatience we become possessed by bad spirits and become not ourselves. More babble to you maybe, but pure truth to the searching.
Nope - your buddy is.
Keep on worshiping Masters; perhaps he will go to prepare a place for you when he dies? (you won’t need a jacket there)
Yep, pure unadulterated babble fabie. Perhaps he fails to use a lexicon, for if he did, he (and you) would see that "patience" is not at all what he is ascribing to it. The greek is 'hypomonē' which is more properly understood in both the greek as well as the context is steadfastness, constancy, and endurance.
He is offering nothing but pure fiction to the gullible.
oh my...you are really lost. Patience is what it is, to Roy too. and the name is Fabian...not Fabie. At least get that correct, good lord! Some example you are.
I remember when some loud brassy woman caller giving Roy a hard time said that she had more balls than most of the men she knew.
Without missing a beat Roy replied, “You should give them back.” I laughed for half an hour.
Not when it comes to what the bible says - particularly when citing it to support their mystic eastern new age heterodoxy. But then students of the east are very loose with the materials they use to support their scams.
hah!
I know nothing of the sort.
You are the accuser here; I just read your hero's comments and posted them.
Are you SURE you are not posting Scientology teachings?
Where have I herad THIS before???
Oh, yeah...
Acts 26:24 (niv)
At this point Festus interrupted Paul's defense. "You are out of your mind, Paul!" he shouted. "Your great learning is driving you insane."
Galatians 5:12
As for those agitators, I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves!
Way to go fabie baby!
you guys hijack my post..post partial quote that are very misleading...and then call me the accuser. O man. some conservative Christian you are.
wow...quite a judgment there...towards someone who is truly helping people to live their religion. Shame on you.
> Are you SURE you are not posting Scientology teachings?<
At least he is not that bad, and our criticisms of him do not mean he does not have some insight, though even Scientology can help some to a degree insofar as they employ Biblical principles, but it is his guru gospel and conversions into what some see mesmerized “roybots” that are not like what you see in Acts
The critiques of some of one his books are noteworthy, offsetting the raving of some fans.
One writes,
It’s too bad that Roy lives in such a castle unto himself. There might have been some real insights to be gained by a fair exchange with the man. That’s to say, discussions which are more of a talking across to, rather than up and down to. It’s great to help people in life, but never coming down from the paternal role is a form of escape of its own. As it is though, he’s got something which is placed as an inscrutable gift, which is how people tend to think of a Mystic. And to my mind, it builds an unfortunate wall of distance and yet, with a twist, brings down other interpersonal boundaries of the sort which tends to screws with peoples’ heads too much. Note how the Mystic (Roy) is loose and spontaneous, even unpredictable. The followers watch their step and tend to be doctrinaire, thick and rigid.
We’re supposed to be getting more objective, not more invested in mimicking charismatic people and magical thinking.
Unfortunately too, he tends to drift into a paranoid “Roy vs. the world” thing that gets tiring. It’s as though, if you disagree with him, you must be some velvet-tongued agent of the devil. This stance feels to me like a developmentally-stuck, grossly self-serving defense mechanism. - http://www.amazon.com/review/R2EVDSEI0Z9UH2/ref=cm_cr_pr_perm?ie=UTF8&ASIN=0933900090&linkCode=&nodeID=&tag=
“Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities. “ (Jude 8)
Masters attacks preachers as the problem and promotes his tapes and esoteric understanding as the solution, and reminds me of another cultist whose ministry also moved to Oregon, for the same escapist reason, named James Lloyd (ChristianMedia).
It is typical of cults that they basically despise authority as they seek their own, and like Harold Camping, they have no use for the church, portraying themselves as victims of it, and i surmise, they operate out of a grudge against it for rejecting them, a “root of bitterness” whereby many become defiled. (Heb. 12:15)
While some of their criticisms of other churches are valid, they make merchandise of the real and imagined faults of the competition in order to exalt themselves and gain credibility for their errors which are critically worse.
