(Reuters) - Archaeologists searching for the body of England's King Richard III under a city centre parking lot said on Wednesday they had found remains which could be those of the monarch depicted by Shakespeare as an evil, deformed, child-murdering monster.

I had to get away from the election/embassy/Arab Spring-on-steroids madness for a while and read something else until my blood pressure goes down a bit.

Did you hear about the UFO mars rover Curiosity photographed?

I find this so interesting. They found his descendents in Canada and got DNA for testing to compare with the remains. Should know if this really was the last of the Plantagenet line. Love British history.

GM marketing is offering 500 million dollars to put the GM logo on King Richard III’s new tomb. GM will use the slogan, “Buy a Volt, it’s not as dead as King Richard III”.

Richard III’s defeat at Bosworth in 1485 ushered in the era of Tudor. Henry VII wasnt so bad but Henry VIII was worst, IMHO. From the Dissolution to the loss of continental lands, “Great Harry” is the British Monarch i like the least.

I saw that one and another over London a couple of days ago. I clicked a link for an article, read it, and then clicked a link from there to another article that sounded good. I landed myself right in the middle of a UFO website that was way out there. They were true believers and the wild articles and theories gave me a laugh.

I have read so much about rehabilitating Richard III’s legacy. Most of the bad press around Richard III was written by Tudor propagandists ( Thomas More and William Shakespeare). See, they were at it way back then. The pen is a mighty sword LOL

400 lbs is being generous. Towards the end he was literally being hoisted into his litter and bed by portable cranes. Couple that with his open and stinking ulcers on both legs, he was quite repulsive. Catherine Parr’s dalliance with him was out of fear..
To: TnGOP
Interesting you bringing up Richard 3 while at this very moment we are dealing with a Richard 4
To: TnGOP
that would explain why they buried him under a parking lot
