Recital 2012
We were singing "Ruby Tuesday" together, and James' VOICE DECIDED to change from a Boy to a Man right in the middle of the song. James kept singing the song in his NEW Tenor voice without missing a note.
I like his NEW Voice BETTER!

I played either Bass, guitar or piano with most of my students. It it a real education for them to do ensemble work, as not only do you have to play your OWN part, you have to be aware and coordinated with the OTHER player as well.
So I was onstage emceeing, and performing with the kids for over two hours.

You do a great job for and with these kids, Mary Lou! We
thank you for all of your effort in helping these young
musicians. We never know what kid may be a big star in
the future! Your job should provide you big rewards!!

That's a beautiful bird, (((Kitty))).
Thank you, my Sweet FRiend; I Wish I had Snapped that Pic myself,
But Found it on the Internet.
I've Seen a Few of those Birds over the Years, but it's So Rare.
The White Crowned Sparrows are Such Pretty Birds.
(((((Goodnight, Dear Friends)))))
Our Lord Grant us All a Peaceful and Restful Night.

My Way?
April 30, 2012
Think about the worst intellectual matchups possible. For instance, what if we put Albert Einstein in a room with a first-grader to debate the theory of relativity? Or how about George Washington Carver versus a middle-schooler discussing biochemical engineering?
Its silly to think of putting these pairs together for discussions. One is the ultimate expert; the other would know little if anything about the topic.
Heres another one: God versus anyone arguing about His plan for mankind. Now were talking mismatch! Yet we often hear of people trying to explain away Gods matchless wisdom and how their way is better than His.
I received a letter from a man in prison who said: I came to the point in my life where I finally accepted the fact that God is real and the Creator of everything. I grew tired of trying to do things my way. When I started humbling myself and accepting Gods Word, I found the answer.
How ridiculous to reject Gods plan of salvation because we think we know better! Only by placing our trust in Christ for the forgiveness of our sins can we be reconciled to God (John 14:6; Rom 3:23; 6:23). Are you still trying to do things your own way, thinking you know best? (Prov. 16:25). Agree with God and go His way.
There arent many ways into heaven;
The Bible says theres only one:
Confessing Christ Jesus as Savior,
Believing in Gods only Son. Sper
Jesus is not one of many ways to approach God, nor is He the best of several ways; He is the only way. Tozer

Back in The Day
Back in the day
Wed pile the boys in back,
And drive down the road to the crossing,
Where Farmer Georges field was laying fallow,
For about the fourteenth year,
And the ruts between the bases,
Looked like plow marks,
Made by boots and by bare feet,
Of well-tanned lads in overalls,
And little else but grins and freckles.
Back in the day
Wed stop beside the creek after the ball game,
And swing out for a drop into the coolness,
Of a shaded depth of water, too lazy in the summer,
To go out into the sunny parts downstream,
Where work was to be done,
In turning wheels to grind our well-earned grain,
For making bread to sop up the real food,
Of meat that went unwillingly to Heaven,
Protesting in its innocence and fear.
Back in the day
That lasted near a week of sunny hours,
From the morning light that wound the rooster,
To the last gray dusk that showed the bats the way,
To dust away the wisps of cloudy cobwebs,
That kept the stars from shining bright,
In nights that settled into peaceful silence,
With only pops and fizzles from the fire,
Left banked to sleep until the morning,
When biscuits needed waking for the day,
Back in the day ...

Thank you for the Daily Bread ...
“His ways are higher than our ways; His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isa. 55:9). We can humbly take the path He has marked out for us today, and do so in absolute trust in His infinite wisdom and love. He is wiser and more loving than we can ever know. He who sees has foreseen and will not lead us astray.
Be still and know that He is God
For pathways steep and rough;
Not what He brings, but what He is
Will always be enough. Anon.
God will never lead you down a wrong path.”
