IMO, this book is one of the most perfectly targeted book on any subject that I have ever read...because it described my ex-wife and mother of my children and their twisted relationship perfectly!
There is excellent self-help advice in the book...beginning with SAVE YOURSELF FIRST!
Is this for Obama?
Don't know anything about the organization, just googled it.
When they have been “invalidated” (could be as simple as having a different opinion) they perceive this as an excruciatingly painful intentional attack on their core being and they strike back...frequently without warning!
Thus the title of the book “Stop Walking On Eggshells.” Folks walk on eggshells around borderlines because they never know when they have accidentally pulls the pin on the grenade.
I think obama is way past “borderline” ...
I agree, BPD Central is the best website for those coping with loved ones who have this unbearable disorder.
And to the OP here, if there is any danger that the Borderline person in your life is a threat to him/herself or others, please call 911.
I know first hand about their psychotic breaks.
Good luck and prayers to you and your afflicted loved one.
Marsha Linehan is a leading authority on BPD. Her workbooks are practical and written for an average (i.e., not academic) audience. She is a clinical psychologist with a solid research and practice background.
Yep, get out at all costs. As soon as possible.
If you have kids get them out of there unless you want them to be monsters too. It's passes from generation to generation.

I am dealing with a daughter who has this. Every day is a challenge. This had been the longest two years of my life. Three if you count the other things leading up to this.
Is it alcohol or drug related?

Yes.
Mantra:
“I am not required to participate in my own abuse.”
You may experience guilt and you may do so for a long time. But it is not your fault and you cannot change these types of behaviors,
Unfortunately, I believe it is genetic, so subsequent generations may manifest the same pathology without even having ever known the ancestor. In each family, there are enabelers and those who finally realize they must leave. The enabelers can be every bit as destructive, to both themselves and others, as the primary BPD sufferer.
The ones who leave may experience PTSD.
too bad I was looking forward to reading about my ex personal trainer. What a scary whack job he turned out to be. Of course Obama is the most shining example. Saving words I just refer to both as evil. Pretty covers the list and its impact on others.
Somehow she has either conned them well or they are just in grave denial either way she has them both on puppet strings when it comes to 'punishing' me from a distance. It is hard but I just keep choosing the high road. I can't believe how blind people are to all her lies and manipulations.
