When you have a cold or are suffering from allergies, tissues are a must-have, but the cost can rack up when you're buying them all the time. Have you ever considered using toilet paper instead? Here are a few good reasons why you should.
We've all grabbed a few squares from the bathroom roll in a pinch, but using toilet paper over tissues is actually a more cost-effective choice in the long run. On average, a box of tissues has 65 sheets and breaks down to about 2 cents per sheet. However, a roll of toilet paper has nearly four times as many sheets as a box of tissues and costs half as much.

You are correct.
Facial tissue has a higher hardwood content which makes it less abrasive due to the shorter fibers.
Bath tissue uses more long fiber softwood to built tensile strength.
That boat looks like it could hold at least 8! Saving even more money- love it!
As do I
B is the correct way. Only communists use A.
” Im a twist and flipper meanuing that after removing the twist tie, I toss it, spin the bread bag and flip it over.”
I use plastic clothespins for that job. Twist ties and those flat plastic thingies go straight into the garbage.
“I use paper towels.”
Another vote for paper towels, but to save even more money, I use the free blue or brown ones you get by the gas pump. My nose has developed a mighty callous.
“And which way do you roll?”
Method “A: is done by women.
Method “B” is done by men.
Scott KC is attacked by the greenies more than any of the other paper companies and this was one of their marketing ploys to deflect them.
What paper company do or did you work for?
Well, speaking of something that REALLY needed to be delved into and examined thoroughly. I bet her parents are so proud of their little writer.
We only grab a roll of TP (toilet paper) when we are out of tissues. It works as do PT (paper towels) which are much rougher. But I prefer tissues, with sinus problems we go through a lot of tissues.
Scott TP is rough no matter where you use it. A few family members have asked me not to buy it anymore even though it’s usually a bargain. Though a while ago I found they are now making a softer version which we tried and no one complained.
And what about us lefties? Got tired of wearing them inside out. :)
Munsingwear 'Kangaroos'. Problem solved.
LOLOLOL!
When I first moved to college, I had a mega-pack of about 5000 coffee filters. When I first ran out of TP, I found that the coffee filters worked very well for that. About the same time, my neighbor friend to me that they had a mega-pack of about 100 rolls of TP, and ran out of coffee filters, and were using the TP for making coffee. Needless to say, after a quick swap deal, both parties were well equipped.
Another guy rinsed his paper towels off, and hung them to dry, to *reuse* them.
If all a paper towel did was absorb some moisture and it is not soiled, it can be dried w/o rinsing and reused. If it was used to clean something like a mirror, it can be rinsed, dried and used later to wipe up a floor. I have done this forever.
FWIW, a woman who is in her 70s and still cleans houses for a living, shared that the cheaper towels are really more absorbent. Personally, I buy the Willow brand (8 rolls for $7) at Aldi’s. I think they are just fine and I have stored some. They also make TP 18 rolls for $6 that is acceptable.
It works as nasal tissue, too.
If something abrades the skin with repeated use, apply some lotion after use.
Rotate holder 90 degrees debate over.
