Mafia ? (Il zotto di pazzo)

Posted on 02/01/2012 3:44:24 PM PST by chrismac

It might be connected with the strange goings on around here : Our car stolen, with $4000 of damage; Our neighbour's healthy rabbit dying unexpectedly; Our neighbour's letterbox being destroyed; Curious spam emails about las vegas; The odd curious phone call; Faeces being smeared on our church Car windows smashed and things taken at church - they now have patrols as a result Breakin at church and organ damaged. Mysterious deaths of stars, such as Heath Ledger, Brittany and her husband, Michael Jackson, David Carradine, and others : http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2010/05/24/what-killed-brittanys- husband.html http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/31103217/ns/today-entertainment/t/david- carradine-found-dead-thailand-hotel/

Connect the dots if you dare, to see the truth.

Okers, just keep in mind that they are there for specific parts of the tale.

Well, in the wake of THAT...never let it be said that life has no point; it IS one.

Not only that, but it would NOT be the same without YOU!

I like it when they fire up the teleFRAG.

Yeah, it's got that unpredictable quality that allows an author to take their story absolutely anywhere afterward. Like Forrest Gump's box of chocolates, "Life's like teleFRAG; y'never know what ch're gonna git."

Oddly (or perhaps not, depending upon which reality you pursue), "teleFRAG" always reminded me of one of my favorite bits of poetry.

Ah, Ode to the teleFRAG.
Which I will not write because it would be horrible.

And only at most several grams of material are used to demo a building.

In about six weeks.

Kathleen weighed 11 lbs. 7 oz. today. Tom and I also gained a little weight last week, which isn’t bad for me but a problem for Tom, who needs to be losing steadily.

Oh, well - it’s Lent now. I found some leftover eggplant-spinach casserole in the freezer for supper. Wasn’t bad.

"Ah, Ode to the teleFRAG.

Meanwhile, or even perhaps quite a bit later, in another part of the galaxy, a genius invents something similar, while being prudent enough to not mention it to anyone.

Barbara took a deep breath, “Okay, now tell me what you’re not telling me. What’s the downside?”

Bernie smiled, “You mean, apart from all of this being theoretical, and probably not working at all? Well, one obviously important thing to consider is navigation. Neutrinos, and neutrino packets, can pass through anything without interference -- but if the vessel should happen to coalescence inside a planet or star, the results would be ... unfortunate.”

Bernie got a far-away look on his face for a moment, followed by one almost of alarm. He returned to his subject.

Hijacking a hyperspace traveller through neutrino twinning and particle pairing.

Oh. Thanks for ‘splainin’.

At least we know Kathleen is healthy and eating well!

I hate that little gain after I’ve been losing for a while. Busdaddy is going through that now; he only lost 2.5 pounds this last week, but since December, he’s lost nearly 40 pounds. Dieting is NOT easy for him, but he knows he has to do it.

I’m glad you’re feeling a bit better. *HUG*
Mmmm. I love blueberry pancakes. Actually, I love blueberry anything. I once had a wonderful garlic roast pork with a blueberry sauce, and my mouth thought it was in heaven.

I’d be happy to help beat the cursin’ out of you! (When we’re done, can we work on stopping me?)

Epsom salts on open scrapes? Youch! I simply sear my skin on the woodstoves, so no open wounds here. :-)

Forgot to include you in the sci fi ping.

"Hijacking a hyperspace traveller through neutrino twinning and particle pairing."

That's a nice thought. But what Bernie had come up with in that moment of distraction was the idea that his FTL drive could also be an awesome weapon, by simply producing a smaller version which could be programmed to coalesce at any known or relative coordinates.

In effect, it's a sub-space torpedo that re-appears inside the enemy's defensive perimeter, homing on a section of solid matter instead of trying to avoid it. Physics being what it is, the results would be ... unfortunate.

Roger would get used to being a rabbit, at least until Evalynn came up with a way to fix the damage to his normal self.
