I have a room-temperature knockoff diet coke, but I gave up pretzels, too. Blargh.
Fasting isn’t penance if you don’t *want* to eat, right?
You’re not allowed to kill anything unless you eat it. That prevents bad behavior. I’m not happy about this guy’s attitude. Perhaps the rules of civilization require revamping.
Pfft..You have a beautiful family. :)
Looking forward to news re: tomorrow’s Science Olympiad....
We’ll find out sometime in the evening how it went. The schedule says it ends with awards from 4:00-5:00, but our team leader says it always runs long, and it’s more likely they’ll get home at 8:00! So if there’s no news until Sunday, it’s because they got home late and we were all in a state of collapse.
I think so, from fire-eating Anoreth to Kathleen with the spews, not neglecting a single one of Pat’s alternate personalities ... but sometimes it seems like I’m the only one who doesn’t, deep down, think some other outcome would be better.
Even people like a Catholic marriage counselor in a pro-life magazine. The approach of menopause is a “problem” for the couple to “fight” together. Not, particularly, because of disagreeable symptoms the woman may have - that got part of a sentence - but because they can’t have sex every time they want to without the possibility of having a child. God made women wrong, that says, and pretty much every natural function she has is a “problem” or a “disease.”
Okay, I feel better now! Speaking of Pat, we stopped at a friend’s house yesterday to pick up a document and some Girl Scout cookies, and when I got back to the car, Sally was telling Pat that, no, she was not going to give him my cell phone so he could call Poison Control. It seems he’d told her she should do that as soon as I left the car. “What the freepin freep?” I said. “It’s an obsession,” says Pat. “I want to call them and talk about controlling poisons.”
I told him it would be rude to call just to chat, because someone with a real emergency might be trying to get through, but DP said later that when he called once to ask if whichever kid was going to die from drinking tea-tree oil, the person on the phone seemed grateful that anyone at all called.
Will stay tuned.
