I felt dizzy after reading about your C3-7's and L 3-5, my dear Gail. You have had a time for sure. I don't see how you live with all that because this is the worst pain that I can remember. At least childbirth pains don't last forever as bad as they are. LOL!

I have only been on a 5 mg. of Lortab and my doctor raised it to 7.5. My brother takes a 10 for his legs and bad knees. My doctor is pretty cautious about pain medication and I would prefer not to take it but I do want to have some kind of good life.

"Don’t ask about the TORTURE I went through with the 3 day inner ear perfusion last month. VERSED is a NASTY NON WORKING DRUG that is supposed to erase your memory. BULL S."

I do not understand about the upper statement, Gail! Why would someone want to erase your memory???

Thanks, Gail. I've been on the computer too long now and must sign off.

Gosh, that’s pretty bossy for a housekeeper. LOL! I hope you...and your friend...can find someone who can work when you want the work done, and not just as a convenience to them.

I pray that you will recover from this awful pain you are having. Maybe the doctor can find a less invasive way to deal with that disc.

But, meanwhile, take care of you and just post when you really feel like it. We’ll always be here. :)

You guys will never know how bad I have hurt. Any movement makes it hurt. When I sit on the couch very still it doesn’t hurt and when I sleep during the night it doesn’t hurt but the minute my feet hit the floor and I start moving around, the pain starts.

Bless your Heart, Sweet Jaycee! Hopefully and Prayerfully Relief will Come Soon, and they will be able to Help it to Heal with the Injection you Mentioned.
Please Shower our Dear FRiend with Heaven's Mercies, Loving Lord! Please Bring Healing and Lift this Terrible Pain Away.

(((((Our Hearts, Love, and Prayers are with you, Precious FRiend)))))

Happy Fat Tuesday all!

Got my beads & wild hair ready. Choosing from three possibilities for PM, one is pretty far away (45 miles) but the most appealing . Last year at nearby Russos was interesting. Music great from my musicman’s New Orleans/ragtime band but the food in paper products/drinks in plastic was bad & lack of selection that I could eat was a negative. This at a fine dining restaurant?

Finished class one of the Constitution Class(Hillsdale college) . Yes I learned many things already. We biology/HPE/theology majors usually are a bit poor in PolySci and history.

Dogs ready for a super outing & will try to get that in with library & some shopping today

Yorkie, thinking of you & hoping all goes well with healing, therapy & visit with son/family

Dave . Know your challenges are high & of course you remain in my prayers

Kitty Mittens - another woman with back issues over the years is in my thoughts frequently

Jaycee - so very sorry about your ongoing back issues. Having them myself for decades makes me really understand. I have also had the compression fractures. Good old osteoporosis strikes most. Mine were in different location & although painful, not excruciating. The addition of the herniated discs and arthritis just made it one more thing in the bad bag of tricks.

My “home remedies” and treatment program seem to have been effective. Keeping the surgical knife away & getting pain relief are the goals

The mild weather has been truly a blessing. My winter without central heat & relying on space heaters has been interesting.

Just a drive by hello & love from Ohio

Slacker?

February 21, 2012

While studying the book of Proverbs in my small-group Bible study, our leader suggested that we change the description of a lazy person from a sluggard to a slacker (6:6,9). Ah, now he was speaking my lingo. I immediately started thinking of all the people I consider to be slackers.

Like the men and women who fail to teach and discipline their children. Or that guy who refuses to help around the house. Or those teenagers who neglect their studies and play Internet games day and night.

If we’re honest, we’re all susceptible to this. What about being a “prayer slacker” (1 Thess. 5:17-18), or a “Bible-reading slacker” (Ps. 119:103; 2 Tim. 3:16-17), or a “non-exercising-of-our-spiritual-gift slacker” (Rom. 12:4-8), or a “non-witnessing slacker”? (Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8).

If we are not doing what we know God wants us to do, we are certainly spiritual slackers. In fact, when we refuse to obey God, we are sinning.

Listen to these challenging and convicting words from the book of James: “It is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it” (4:17 NLT). Let’s not be spiritual slackers.

When we know what God wants us to do,
But then we refuse to obey,
We’re ignoring the voice of the Lord,
And sinfully choosing our way. —Sper

We may make excuses for not obeying God,
but He still calls it disobedience.

Deuteronomy 17-19

You will remain in my prayers, Jaycee.

Will be praying that the problem can be resolved without surgery.

Big hugs.

Afternoon, Conor!

As I wasn't here yesterday, I'm just now reading this. I am of the opinion that you could not send that to a 'wrong' ping list! :)
