What books are people currently reading? Any particular fiction or non-fiction of note? Any recommendations from some recent reads?
I just downloaded the novel Hunter by Robert James Bidinotto for my kindle. It's an indie novel and has received good reviews on Amazon. Will report back once I finish up.
Hitler moves east by Paul Carell. Freeper Homer J Simpson was posting exerpts of it so I figured I may as well buy the thing. It’s an amazing book on Barbarossa.
It is a fun read. After you finish the first one you will want to read the other two right away!!! It is taking over that “Twilight” crowd. (I read those, too :-) . I like to keep up with the pop culture. These are better than the Twilight books, I think. )
Green Eggs and Ham
About 20 years ago I read a novel in which Prince Charles and other royal family members were the victims of a terror attack. I have been thinking about that book and would like to read it again, only problem is I can’t remember the title or author. Ring a bell for anyone?
I read it-—thought it was like reading something from the mind of the Marquis de Sade. Sick and twisted-—but that is what the progressives like to feed the young impressionable minds. I won’t see the movie either.
Call of the Wild
How did you like it? The first time i read it i didn’t care much for it (not at all what i was expecting/hoping for) and have avoided re-reading it even though i’ve read the other books in that series many times now. But i listened to it again recently and to my surprise enjoyed it this time. I think because i went in with a different attitude, accepting the story that Card wanted to tell rather than the story i wanted him to tell.
I tried the “The Girl” novels, couldn’t get past first chapter, either.

That is one of my all time favorite books.....I used to live right next to the Santa Clara train station where the novel begins. They have the house (porch) where London wrote that book at the Santa Clara Triton Museum.
