Elise is not liking the criticism. She just gave the fakest little smile to JLo. Ha!
I don’t know if tonight’s performances are going to keep her out of the bottom three.
Her Round #2 choice is Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On". She seems to be trying a little to hard with this one. Growl-singing.
Still good.
J-Lo: You always sound so good--it's hard for me to critique. It's like you don't like to show emotion to much. That may be why America hasn't connected with you. There's no question you should be here. When you smile, you light up. It's about being vulnerable.
Steven: That song showed your versatility. I think you need to take it up a notch. Your voice is so good.
Randy: You definitley need to show the emotion. You're not sure what's good for your voice. (didn't like the song choice) Oversang that song. It needs to breeeath. Know what I'm sayin?
Elise complains to Seacrest and the judges that it's hard to let a six-minute song breath in a minute-and-a-half.
Yeah... it is exactly what you would get if Dave Matthews sang with a horn section. Another song with different notes in it.
Definitely Joe Cocker on that one.
I agree. At the start of the song it was like she tried to get cutsey before going sexy and I thought it was kind of off-putting. Unfortunately for her, I don’t think many men vote on this show.
Phil’s dancing makes me uncomfortable.
I’m not sure this kid has more than one octave of vocal range.....
P-squared: showing the kids at home just WHY it is so important to brush after meals and visit the dentist regularly.
... and they all screamed in horror and ran for their toothbrushes... ;^)
I am convinced that his antics are due to repeated issues with gallstones. he looks like he is trying to pass one every time he sings.
Also, remember Werewolf Drama man from last year? He was a growler and also had a health issue.
It really reminded me more of the singer who did the number for Jabba the Hut in SW:Return of the Jedi (the remade version).
he’s cute and has a nice smile.
I’m just sayin’.
His second song is Wilson Pickett's "In The Midnight Hour". I like the song, but I'm not liking this. Phillips' voice is annoying me to the point of hitting the mute button.
The audience seems to love it though.
Randy: Exactly what you need is exactly what you have. We feel your emotion every time. That is what makes you who you are and I
J-Lo: Every once in a while you throw in a little surprise. Spotaneous. Great!
Steven: Brilliantly awkward! Beautiful! I love your character. love it!
Yeah, that’s true. He was like Fozzy Bear.
LOVE that!
LOL.
There are worse traits to have :)
>>Yeah, thats true. He was like Fozzy Bear.<<
“I’m gonna WAKKA till the midnight hour...”
ROFL!
LMAO!!
Jessica will get another standing O no matter how much she sucks at this song right now.
I love Jessica but this was the wrong song. This song needs SOUL.
This is like a Brady Bunch/Silver Platters version of this song.
