Not caring for the affectations he is putting intohis pronounciation in this song....then again, Colton has never been one of my favorites...he is a nice fellow...but I do not see him as an “American Idol” (for anyone over the age of 15 that is)

This whole night has been like one of those Ktel albums you used to buy in TG&Y that was hits done by the not real artists....

Colton works the stage well. He seems to be a natural. I feel like I’m at a concert!

Yeah, but I think his key demo are those 13 year old cheerleaders who were on the stage before him. They wouldn’t have “got” Adam Ant.
I will give him this, he may have broken the Time After Time curse.

I liked him as well. What gets me is that, IIRC, it was David Cook who began the whole “making a song your own” and “changing his selections up” and the judges act like it’s never been done.

His choice is Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time". There's a well-established Idol curse with any song associated with Lauper. But Colton will be safe. He changed the arrangement somewhat. It's an improvement.
Steven: You could do a record right now.
J-Lo: You were in sync with the band. Felt so many things. Amazing. Really good.
Randy: Made it your own. You're so current. You're ready to go!

The other day, just for the heck of it, I compared the 1980 Fame finale “I Sing the Body Electric” to the finale “Hold your Dreams” of the 2009 remake.
1980 smoked them. If the 2 movies were an AI season, 1980 would be the winner and 2009 wouldn’t even make it to Hollywood.

I put the remake of Fame in the same IGNORE box as I put the remake of Footloose and Hairspray.

Irene Cara’s “Out There On My Own” from Fame is still one of my all time favorite songs.

That was the best I’ve heard Skyler do... I really liked that

I’m afraid Hollie will be in the bottom 3 again and may go home.
To: MagUSNRET
Yeah his pronunciation drove me nuts.
Skylar did well.
