I thought same thing rolling my eyes when it showed clips of her crying.
I sing too...in a choir...alto...not really a solo singer.
In my whole life I never had sore vocal cords and I’m 62.

Her shoes were PRACTICAL! She was smart to wear them...didn’t have to worry about falling while concentrating on the high notes. She gets my vote for the shoeboots.

2 singers left and 25 minutes left in the show. A lot of time for Seacrest to kill.
Jessica is up next. She confides, softly, to Seacrest that she hurt her vocal chords in rehearsals and "my throat is a little swollen". While she says this we see footage of her looking pitiful on the bigscreen.
(Audience awwwws)
I call BS on all of this.
And of course, now she sings without any hint of being sick. Big loud long notes. LOL! Shameless voter manipulation!
Randy: YO! YO! YO! I don't know about no doctor, but what is really happening--that girl can really sing. That voice is a voice to be reckoned. So unbelievably talented.
J-Lo: (gushes) So beyond your years.
Steven: You have exceptional timing. Voice is perfect.
And I thought X Factor was scripted.

Me too. Remember last week I mentioned I was going to like a conference thing last week? My friend and I were on the older end of the spectrum of the attendees (most people were 20-25) and a lot of the younger women had those shoes on. They looked ridiculous and were stomping around like clydesdales.
I said to my friend, “We may be old, but at least we can walk in heels without tipping over.”
