This undated image made available by the National Reconnaissance Office is a declassified image of a man standing next to a satellite control section from the Hexagon program.
DANBURY, Conn. For more than a decade they toiled in the strange, boxy-looking building on the hill above the municipal airport, the building with no windows (except in the cafeteria), the building filled with secrets.
They wore protective white jumpsuits, and had to walk through air-shower chambers before entering the sanitized "cleanroom" where the equipment was stored.
They spoke in code.
Few knew the true identity of "the customer" they met in a smoke-filled, wood-paneled conference room where the phone lines were scrambled. When they traveled, they sometimes used false names.

Sorry we have not lost the cold war. BO-The-Zero is just a small set back and because we are Americans we can over come and re-new the spirit that settled this great nation. Just because of the current political situation that we face today it does not in anyway take away from the great accomplishments of these brave men and women who served our country on this great project. If anything it is a great testament to the true spirit of our nation and what the people did who worked on project Hexagon. Hopefully as more American citizens learn of the heroic actions of these and other people who fought and served our great country in the Cold War they will also be inspired live up to the American Spirit handed down to us by our Forefathers and continue to build upon what project Hexagon and others have done to keep us free and the land of liberty.

Molon,
Thanks for the recommendation - I’ll check it out.

2112 cool screen name btw. Yeah that is why we have to get BO-The-ZerO out of office and clean out all the clowns and put in some actual leaders in Washington. Where is that walmart roll back guy when you really need him.
Guess I was just too obvious with that “end sarcasm” tag (/s), huh? My original post was intended as a short yet hopefully witty and sarcastic comment to state everything you did in a longer form. It appears we agree so I’ll just wish you the best in the coming New Year!
