MSNBC had to regroup after Newt gave a Smack Down, not against the reporter but towards the liberal media. Must See Smack Down.

Newt starts talking about Sarah Palin at the 2:04 mark and then shreds the Libs when comparing Palin with Obama

It strikes me that the vast majority of the tea party folks who are so anti-Newt - many of whom are no doubt big time Sarah Palin supporters - would in no way, shape or form be able to defend Sarah Palin the way Newt did.

It was brilliant, passionate, off the cuff and damned straight to the point.

This is also perhaps part of the establishment’s problem with Newt, because they surely would not have liked Newts support for Palin.

So to all the Holier than thou Bachmann and Santorum supporters out there hatin on the Newtster: do you think your candidate could ever replicate that performance?

Wait, don’t answer. We all know the answer.

This is why I maintain that Obama stays up late at night praying to Allah that he doesn’t have to end up debating Newt.

Not that I’m a big Newt fan however he would absolutely eviscerate Obama in a debate.

This deserves a wide spread audience.

Newt details Palin’s accomplishments like no other. The reporter looked stunned and knew he couldn’t let Newt continue. In fact, Newt was probably convincing the reporter.

Then once the reporter stands down, Newt smiles. HA !

Loved his defense of Sarah Palin. Spot On.

That is classic Newt. The reporter wanted out of there as fast as he could.

...and the real good stuff kicks in at about 2:34 or 35 when Ron Allen asks a question that earns him a quick lecture.

And all he can say is “back to you Keith....”

Obama stays up late at night praying to Allah that he doesn’t have to end up debating Newt.

If it comes to that, I doubt that obama would be willing to debate Newt; and if he does, it would be only once or twice and the format will be so circumscribed by obama that there will be little of the give and take of a real debate.

That was excellent. I hope Sarah doesn’t side with Romney, that would be crushing.

About two hours until the debate tonight in Iowa. Get ‘em Newt.

I remember this clip. You can see the flop-sweat beading on the brow of the MSNBC reporter as he’s being verbally ginsu-ed into manky little bits by Gingrich. Classic!

Now, wouldn’t it have been just great if Palin’s running mate had made any effort at all in 2008 to put up that kind of defense for her? I’m *sure* there was time on the campaign trail to wedge it in between reminding all of us “You have nothing to fear from an Obama Presidency.”

NEWT is on another level.

Would love for him to pick Sarah Palin as his VP.

Biden OUT Palin IN

Bought time our country would get something Right! And Sarah would bring her own style to the Convention. Obviously Newt does not need handlers. Newt is the brains of the operation. Seasoned, humbled and ready to lead.

You may have a point on the style of that performance. But on substance, I can at least count on Santorum and Bachmann to get rid of ALL of Obamacare, and not keep the 300 pages that they happen to like. With Santorum or Bachmann, I won't get stuck with GingrichCare.

Re Sarah endorsing Mitt, please Lord No, and for Newt choosing Sarah...well... that would be INCREDIBLE. And it would go a Long Way in convincing Tea partiers such as myself that he understands fully the gravity of our situation, and is truly ready to be a Statesman.

What tag team That would be....

Be still my heart.

May God guide our course.

If he ever would consider her as a Running Mate, this clip where he is comparing Palin would make a great Political AD with the Title ...

My Vice President beats your think twice president.

CLASSIC.
