I don't know of any now... but here are my thoughts... Sometime between now and Jan 1 large chains and even local stores will DUMP THEIR INVENTORY possibly for PENNIES ON THE DOLLAR!
So if you hear about good deals for 100 watters, please post away. I need to stock up on the clear ones...
I’ve not heard of any exception here in South Carolina. Doubt there is one as this is a Federal law. Why would one or two states be exempted?

Sorry but this is silly. LED's are coming. Get used to it.
Don’t think the automobile was a Federal Government mandate, maybe I’m mistaken.
You’re right. I had forgotten about that. However, I have heard nothing about manufacturing 100 watt light bulbs here in SC.
I think cripplecreek was right in reply #11, “Unfortunately few industries can survive entirely within the borders of a single state.”

Importantly, make sure the Lumens (brightness) rating on the bulbs are at least 1500. Some manufacturers are trying to sell 100W bulbs with as little as 900 Lumens, which is about as bright as a 60W.
Hands in the air, step away from the American made lightbulb!
Sorry, we have bigger problems than light bulbs. Besides who really understands that technology is changing for the better. We are saving $300 a month in our small museum using LED’s. There really are a few things we need to pay attention to without getting on the old timer bandwagon.
Our problem is that the LED’s are all made in China. Where is Mr. Dumb Bastard Obama advocating USA manufacturing?
Well,you posted the comment,not me.
That is not the point of this argument my friend. We are saving $300 a month using LED’s. Cars are another matter. You cannot compare combustion engines to lights, candles or buggy whips.
And your point is?
Do you seriously not get the analogy he alludes to?? Seriously?? The point is liberty. The point of EVERYTHING is liberty. I don't care if a given technology is the least efficient idea ever conceived. It's stillbeyond the federal government's jurisdiction to decide whether or not someone is "allowed" to manufacture it or whether I'm "allowed" to used it.
I suggest you talk to the orderlies at the local hospital emergency room. I’ve been told they find an occasional light bulb you could have for free.
In the olden days, the marketplace took care of that, not a federal mandate. I don't recall reading about how Washington DC passed a law forbidding the sale of buggy whips. Perhaps you can point me to that little bit of legislation.
Let’s change the subject, obviously we don’t agree on buggy whips and automobiles,What do you think of Unions?
There’s nothing silly about it, the government telling you what lightbulbs you can and can’t use is just plain evil. It’s none of the government’s damned business. If I want to use the most inefficient bulbs money can buy I’m the one paying the bill, it’s my RIGHT and the government should F off and balance their own budget.
