A New York woman is being scrutinized and praised after people learned that she used a dating website to obtain $1,200 a month in free meals.
According to Business Insider, 23-year-old Jessica Sporty was deep in debt. Sporty had difficulties living on her $45,000 annual salary after spending nearly $1,500 a month in rent, paying her credit card bill, and buying food.
So she hatched up a plan and signed up with the popular online dating site Match.com so she could quickly go on five dates a week. Sporty even maintained a spreadsheet with detailed information on each of her dates, limiting each guy to a maximum of five.
Dates took Sporty to high-end New York restaurants, and one of her dates even bought her a $200 bottle of champagne.
Before I barely had enough money to pay for food, said Sporty. After using Match.com I found I wasnt going into debt anymore.
-snip-
As of today, Sporty is no longer on the dating website as she is currently in a relationship and most likely freeloading off her new beau.
It was exhausting, she said. I needed my sleep and I was done playing the game.

Local to here, people toss pregnant cats out on our street because it’s rural.
Or, alternately, barn cats have kittens and the farmer decides not to kill them outright.
Kearen was one of the latter group.
The Humane Society did say she was the only one in the burlap bag.
The 24th, please...maybe it will take some of the excitement out of waiting....
I’m glad it got there!
And I hope it is enjoyed!
Or several oncoming semis...
Okay, since you said so!
Happy Friday, folks!
This’ll put the wraps on my first full week back to work since September. Nice to be earning my keep, once again.
Thanks for all the prayers; they worked [as if that’s supposed to be a surprise].
Probably won’t be posting TOO much during regular business hours, but I guess that’s been my “new normal” for about the past two months, anyway.
I was trying to recall the name of the guy who used to do the outrageous muscle car t-shirts and prints. I wanted to show my son the guy’s work, because the boy’s been doing quite a few drawings of cars, lately. Well, with a little help from the web, the name Ed “Big Daddy” Roth came to the surface. Some of you may remember his signature character “Rat Fink.”
If you’ve got a warm spot in your heart for old street rod muscle, look him up, and enjoy the nostalgia.
And, if you need some fun reading for the day, you could do worse than “The DRAGSTER Insider” by long-time NHRA tracksider and photographer, Phil Burgess. Each [very long] page has a link to the next (and the previous), and they’re all choc-a-bloc with pictures of drag events new and old, long gone cars and tracks, and the people that have made it all happen. Kick off on page 42, and work backwards to get it all in chrono order. Have fun!

Congratulations on the work! ‘Face is a racing enthusiast: I’m sure she’ll recognize all the arts.
Back from Walmart. Later I have to go to the bakery to get a baked-something for my substitute musician. Tom can drive, if I’m feeling like living dangerously ...
Not nearly as close as the men who took her out for dinner were hoping.
You are blaming the victim.
Whatever their intentions, whether noble or not, the men were victims of a bait-and-switch fraud.
She never intended to give any of them a chance, romantically or otherwise. She was taking food her victims had purchased for her home to her boyfriend.

Cross posting.
I forsee a glorious future for the lady of our thread and the guy from the above thread.
To be charitable,
I think that the little tiny alien inside his head that is controlling him has been having corrosion difficulties with the hydraulic lines and electronic circuits.
I think I saw a movie about cross posting where a guy turned in to a fly.
(I try to sneak the National Dragster to read when I visit him...)
(PS: He has a "red-headed" plush monkey as his "navigator" in the cockpit!)
It looks fast!
I’m such a speed-limit zombie, after all these years of driving a 747 ;-).
And good afternoon. It says 48 on the new weather-beeber, but it feels warmer if you’re in the sun and out of the wind. Time for Frank’s nap, and some of us have to go to the Wolf Cubs’ Christmas party.
I’m waiting to get the particulars from him. I used to know all the specs, but with him being so ill the last 18 months, the racing has gone by the wayside. He has won quite a few trophies, for sure!
The car did a quarter mile in 8.70 seconds @ 154 mph, with 950 HP the last time she ran, which was when this photo was taken.
Everyone welcome SilentGypsy aboard the Undead Thread Pinglist!
[As well as a ping to the curent page.]
Haven’t done anything like that myself.
