Happy Friday, folks!

This’ll put the wraps on my first full week back to work since September. Nice to be earning my keep, once again.

Thanks for all the prayers; they worked [as if that’s supposed to be a surprise].

Probably won’t be posting TOO much during regular business hours, but I guess that’s been my “new normal” for about the past two months, anyway.

I was trying to recall the name of the guy who used to do the outrageous muscle car t-shirts and prints. I wanted to show my son the guy’s work, because the boy’s been doing quite a few drawings of cars, lately. Well, with a little help from the web, the name Ed “Big Daddy” Roth came to the surface. Some of you may remember his signature character “Rat Fink.”

If you’ve got a warm spot in your heart for old street rod muscle, look him up, and enjoy the nostalgia.

And, if you need some fun reading for the day, you could do worse than “The DRAGSTER Insider” by long-time NHRA tracksider and photographer, Phil Burgess. Each [very long] page has a link to the next (and the previous), and they’re all choc-a-bloc with pictures of drag events new and old, long gone cars and tracks, and the people that have made it all happen. Kick off on page 42, and work backwards to get it all in chrono order. Have fun!
