I Wish!

I wish I were taller,
... more handsome,
... attractive,
... and smart!

And better equipped to be rendering art,
A musical prodigy, mathematical too,
Someone who could build up a house from a shoe.

Who’d putter around with some feathers and wax,
And fly off among those big cumulus stacks.
I’d speak, and have minstrels absorbing each note,
To then go about spreading the gospel I wrote.

I’d sit down in judgement, to help to decide,
Whose child should be whose, or which one gets which side.
I’d put out the wars that are flaming away,
As cooling heads listen to what I’ve to say.

My suitors would line up, to each get a turn,
At winning my heart, but then each one would learn,
That no one could love me as much as I do,
So for sure I’d not settle for someone like you.

What is sad to me is the casual, trivial, and mistaken way Christians and our faith are cast into being unfounded myths, which smart people know better than to believe.

‘Gullible’ Global warming is made to be real and threatening while evil is tolerated and cast as not their fault. Woe to the evil of our day. Teach the youth when ever possible. They have no other way of hearing truth, many of our churches speak not of sin, evil, or Satan, and instead give lessons in practical living. Father, help us to recognize thy truth and accept it and surrender our lives to thee, that we may rest in thy hope and grace, in Jesus name, amen.

God help thy people today. Keep us under thy wing and let us abide in they high tower and refuge, in Jesus name amen.
