I truly needed a little help on the snow. I am still slow on doing that! I do a lot of copying and pasting!
I will try to be back sometime today. I have a plumber coming today and have to get straightened up, etc. He is so busy I’ve been waiting for his free time since last Friday. He’s a great plumber and that’s why he is so busy!!

This Do In Remembrance
December 7, 2011
When a US Navy vessel arrives or departs from the military bases in Pearl Harbor, the crew of that ship lines up in dress uniform. They stand at attention at arms length on the outer edges of the deck, in salute to the soldiers, sailors, and civilians who died on December 7, 1941. It is a stirring sight, and participants often list it among the most memorable moments of their military career.
Even for spectators on shore, the salute triggers an incredible emotional connection, but especially between the servants of today and the servants of yesterday. It grants nobility to the work of todays sailor, while giving dignity to the sacrifice of those from the past.
When Jesus instituted the Lords Supper (Matt. 26:26-29), it was surely with an eye toward creating this same kind of emotional bond. Our participation in the Lords Table honors His sacrifice while also granting us a connection to Him unlike any other act of remembrance.
Just as the Navy carefully prescribes the way it salutes the fallen, so too Scripture teaches us how to remember Jesus sacrifice (1 Cor. 11:26-28). These acts of reverence and thanksgiving serve to honor past action while giving purpose to present service.
Action Suggestion:
Read with fresh eyes the detailed instructions Scripture
offers for the Lords Supper in 1 Corinthians 11, and
experience anew its power in your spiritual journey.
The Lords Supper Christs memorial that He left for us.
Read: 1 Corinthians 11:23-34
When [Jesus] had given thanks, He broke it and said, Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you.
1 Corinthians 11:24

Bob has been sending Marissa a birthday poem every year. Here is the first one he wrote for her. I will post this years after I get the perfect graphic. :)
Thank you for remembering, Bob.

October, 2004
Happy Birthday, Marissa!
A most Happy Birthday, Marissa!
You have waited for it to arrive,
Youve had so much fun being four years old,
And now you will get to be five!
Theres something that I have to tell you,
I dont think youll like it so hot.
I know that you think this is your special day,
But its one someone else sure has got!
Youll hear people talk of Pearl Harbor,
And of how this is Her special day,
Then theyll talk about real nasty things,
That happened an ocean away.
Be careful when having a party,
Even if you have planned it all day,
There are people who come when they shouldnt,
And have terrible games that they play.
And for those who dont play well with others,
Or who must misbehave in some way,
They should never again go to parties,
And should stay in their corner all day.

Cold here too, around 20 this morning.
Sunny, so it looks nice, until you go out in the wind!
Going with my sister to see The Muppet movie in a little while.
Sis and I both have cabin fever already.
: )
Have a great day everyone!

Today’s ODB has a personal message for me, Rus. I’ve sailed into Pearl Harbor past the Arizona Memorial on two occasions. It is indeed a powerful experience to render honors to fallen comrades from Pearl Harbor.
The Lord’s Supper is also an emotional experience for me.
Thank you for your continuing ministry, Rus.

Thank you, Dave.
On Monday, I planned to post a Pledge Graphic. As I was looking through my files, this one jumped out so I decided to wait until today for this post..
