Sorry for the snafu...
Well so far Prophets of SciFi is very good, but Phillip K Dick was a whack job, who maybe right. HG Wells had some good stories, but I don't like the fact that he called for a world Government..

In
The Time Machine, he had his Time Traveller briefly postulate that the Eloi had established communism . . .

I thought last Friday's operetta on Sanctuary was bad. I finally turned it off about half-way through.
Earlier this evening I read some of the comments on the syfy.com forum. The singing episode did not go over too well with other viewers, either.
Sanctuary has been stumbling for a while. They seem to have lost direction and are making it up as they go.

I just caught up with Warehouse 13 this week. Good finale, I assume that was the finale anyway.
The last Sanctuary was good till the lesbo scene at the end.

Many scifi writers are socialistic/utopianistic and many would support the greenie politics.
I recall the Dinatopia (Walt Disney & Hallmark) movie and subsequent tv series. It was nothing more than a socialistic utopian environment. Youths were eventually placed in ‘jobs best suited for them’ and similar ‘for the good of the community’ indoctrinations happened throughout.

I started watching Walking Dead via Netflix and got hooked.
I usually hate zombie stuff.
So, someone on this forum mentioned Death Valley on MTV, and I got hooked on it too.

The list may be interested in visiting this thread from yeaterday:

It concerns The Adjustment Bureau’s production company suing the Phillip K. Dick estate for return of the fee they paid for the copyright.
The linked article is quite interesting.

Sure you can! The uncut version of DEAD ALIVE and CEMETERY MAN.

Many scifi writers are socialistic/utopianistic and many would support the greenie politics. That's because many of them, by definition, are divorced from the real world. They are writing about imaginary ones after all :)
Just like every other part of society, the idealism of youth eventually gives way to reality. Poul Anderson is a good example.

The Doctor, the widow, and the wardrobe. Yes. It is a nod to Narnia.
