Today is a special day for my dad Dan. He is a veteran of the Korean War. He fought in the battle at Chosin Reservoir. He has won a purple heart and bronze star. He is the most amazing man to his seven kids and wife of 58 years.
Bless him for his tremendous service. Our prayers are with him in his current battle.
May the lord give him strength, comfort and peace.
Prayers up and continuing for your dad.
Prayers for your brave Dad. And for you too. May God’s blessings sustain you all.
Please thank him for his service!!

I made the hair on my neck stand up, it made me angry, it made me proud... it made me cry!!
Blue, that was beautiful. No we are not willing to let him serve in heavens honor guard right yet.
He will start his fourth round of chemo on Monday.
Prayers lifted for this good man, and for all who know and love him.
May God bless and keep you all.

I will have to read this. Thanks for the book info.
Chosin is impressive, and so is raising seven loving kids and a 58 year marriage. God bless this honorable man.
Thanks for the sharing the pix.
God bless your father for his service. Prayers up for him and for all of your family.
Prayers sent. Most merciful Sacred Heart of Jesus, please hold this man in the palm of Your hand.
I have a cousin who served in Korea.
We learned our lesson not to ask him about that experience. It MUST have been grim... if he even hears the word ‘Korea’, he walks out of the room.
I think that’s why I read the book. I wanted to know. But I know I could not ever discuss it with him.
Prayers for comfort and healing, and a heartfelt thank-you for your service to our country.
God of all Comfort, welcome, comfort us in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Let us experience your comforting
power O Lord; Your healing Power, Your Joy Lord. Thank you for turning around every ruin in our lives
into joy and gladness. Thank you for turning our deserts into beautiful and fruitful gardens like the garden of
Eden. Thank you Father. We declare that we are receiving your comforting love, your comforting peace,
your comforting provisions, in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. As we receive your comfort Lord, help us to
share the same with those that are hurting and in pain in Jesus Comforting Name, Amen.
It appears you have done the right things, made the right choices, and obviously raised a wonderful family. Good Job Marine! May God hold you in the palm of His hand, my prayers are with you.
Prayers up!
I thank God daily for men like your father.
If your Dad ever went to any of the events they sometimes host they may know each other. Anyone who think the Chinese are our friends needs to talk to one of these veterans.
If your Dad would like his contact info. contact me through freepmail. Those guys are a pretty close knit group.
He told my wife that the commies had warmer field jackets then the Marines. He brought one home with a bullet hole in the front of it. He said it had kept him from freezing to death. She never asked how he got it.

The Marine Corps Museum near Quantico is very much worth visiting--it's right off the interstate just south of Triangle, VA, and it's free. Excellent exhibits, very informative. For "Frozen Chosin" you walk into a room that is specially chilled.
Prayers and thanks sent!
