Thought this might be of interest to you. Not exactly ancient history but interesting none the less.
From the looks of the pictures, Communists never change.
Now someone at UofM will be trying to put them into textbook for so they can be used in business economics classes.
the guy on the lower left doesn’t look asian.
he looks like a gringo!
Thanks for posting. Some of those prints remind me of OWS.
I think this might represent the intellectuals and artists who were eliminated in the Cultural Revolution.
He’s from one of the occupy drum circles.

Aww . . . poor thing, have your delicate Luddite sensibilities been violated?
First thing that comes to mind is how much that Obey guy who did the Obama posters and other lib agitprop was influenced by this style.
Call me when they come across the architectural master plans for Pyongyang.
It is worthwhile to note that Professor Rummel of the University of Hawaii puts the democide deaths during the Cultural Revolution at around 7,731,000. Democide of course being mass murder by government.
Details here:

Once totalitarians have power they no longer have use for revolutionaries. In fact, the revolutionaries that bring them to power become a threat and need to be eliminated.
Brownshirts were among those targeted on the night of the long knives in Germany. Che Guevera fled Cuba after helping Castro gain power because he knew that Castro would need to kill him.
"Eyes front, everyone! The giant floating Mao-head behind us won't attack if you don't look at it!"
That print says more than just about Mao, or communism, or China.
It says something, unfortunately, about the intellectual and moral frailties of humanity.
True enough.
No matter how many times we see various forms of communism collapse, somebody always thinks they have the secret that will make it work. Unfortunately that secret is always the same, the elimination of those who disagree.
Even in China where communism has held on for a long time, its still slowly but surely collapsing under the relentless assault of capitalistic freedom.
