Power went out at 3:40pm across San Diego county. SDG&E cannot be reached for comment. Theories anyone?
Wow
Palo Verde?
SDG&E website is up but links to current outages don’t work. This isn’t planned from what I see.
Speaking of power, is FR sloooooooow for anyone else lately ?
I mean the 30sec to refresh variety of slow ?
Prison reform has gone too far!!! Jailbirds don't need the internet.

lol. Sounds like BG&E. We lost power for 6 days last weekend and they nearly disappeared until the 5th day and then they went on the news and said “Be patient. We are working this.....Ugh!” Oh the ironic thing was that I received the electric bill that day......hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I feel for the San Diego community because they have to deal with incompetent electric company just like we did in Annapolis, MD. God Bless you!!!!
According to news conference...”Baja, Orange County, also effected. Lost transmission line cascades the system. San Onofre offline. Could last into tomorrow”
darn squirrels...
Yes, it’s super-slooooww for me, too.
Just talked to friends in Murrieta....power OK.
Amish at it again?
Trying to push candle sales?
Impressive.
Rove - you magnificent Bastard! And I mean that in the most “you’re trying to screw over Sarah Palin” way.
News says San Onofree Nuclear Power plant automatically shut down when the power grid quit from the east (Arizona source). That does not make sense to me.
Something is missing in this explanation. Also they say that military have been recalled.
With Obama’s energy policies such blackouts will become common.

What?
Just got text from my brother, an electrician with Salt River Project in Arizona. He confirmed explosions at Salton Sea and Coachella, tripping a circuit that took San Onofre offline. Don’t know the cause but very suspicious it was before Obama’s speech, the 10TH anniversary of 9-11
Viva the electric car.
With Houston’s year long drought, I’m glad for the time being that my car is not water powered.
