Oh my goodness..That looks bad!

I have a broken sliding door.. bird did it..a zillion tiny crackles but it is taped completely on one side waiting for the new glass to be installed tomorrow. I was grateful the glass man came immediately and taped it up..big job to completely cover it.

Maybe while they are here taking out the broken window it will rain LOL

Oh, Yorkie, I'm Glad your Windows didn't get Broken by the Hail!
I've only Experienced Hail that Large Once in my Life,
When I was 15 or 16 Years Old, so it was a Long Time Ago,
But I've Never Forgotten the Deafening Sound of it. :(
We were on the Edge of a Tornado, so it was a Very Frightening Experience.

I Forgot to Tell you in my Last Post that your Pic #694 is Beautiful.

Meg, that had to be a HUGE bird! I’m so sorry that has happened - but HOPEFULLY it WILL rain, when they are fixing it all. (With no damage to your carpet!)

I heard it..but suppose it was a white winged dove..It was loud..I ran to see if the bird was hurt..no bird. there.but the noise of crackling safety glass continued for over an hour.
The doves are the worst wrong way birds. Many have hit the door before this.
No hopeful signs on the radar for rain but I read Luv got rain..Woo HOO!

WOW!
Isn’t hail uncommon this time of the year in your area?
We had some thunder and lightning Monday night and more so up in the foothills of the Sierras.
teenie, did you experience the thunderstorms?

Sorry it’s taken so long to respond.

Had PT again this morning.

Really takes a toll on me. I’m pretty sore tonight but my old friend Jim Beam stopped by and offered a consultation. ;^)

Doves are the dumbest birds! I have hit 2 with my car in the last 6 months! Poor ole things!

Heavy Lifting
September 15, 2011

One day I found my son straining to lift a pair of four-pound barbells over his head—an ambitious feat for a toddler. He had raised them only a few inches off the ground, but his eyes were determined and his face was pink with effort. I offered to help, and together we heaved the weight up toward the ceiling. The heavy lifting that was so hard for him was easy for me.

Jesus has this perspective on the stuff that’s hard for us to manage. When life seems like a carousel of catastrophes, Jesus isn’t fazed by a fender-bender, troubled by a toothache, or harassed by a heated argument—even if it all happens in one day! He can handle anything, and that is why He said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden” (Matt. 11:28).

Are you worn out from ongoing problems? Are you weighed down with stress and worry? Jesus is the only real solution. Approaching the Lord in prayer allows us to cast our burdens on Him so that He can sustain us (Ps. 55:22). Today, ask Him to assist you with everything. By helping you with your burdens, He can supply rest for your soul, for His yoke is easy and His burden is light (Matt. 11:29-30).

O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer. —Scriven

Prayer is the place where burdens change shoulders.

Read: Matthew 11:25-30

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden. —Matthew 11:28

Rise up, O men of God!
Have done with lesser things:
Give heart and mind and soul and strength
To serve the King of kings. —Merrill

Ambition is short-sighted if our focus is not on God.”

Peace, Hope, Mercy, Love, Forgiveness, ... these are the attributes we are to acquire, nourish with the Word of God and live out of these motivations. It is not the way of the world, but it is the way of Christ Jesus. When we truly desire to serve God, it is the character that will be present and apparent in us as we do so.

Pride rears its ugly head. Thank you, for today's devotional.

When we have a dog in our life, the dog is true, pure, and ever forgiving. Many are the ones a dog has saved from death or from having a barren life. Do we return this care thoughtfully and sincerely? If we neglect to return the same dedication to our pet that the pet gives to us it is shameful and shows our shallowness. May God forgive us our selfishness. MOO.

I really liked this poem ... thank you, Just Amy.
