DEAD DUCK

Woman brings a duck to the vet. Vet says, “Your duck is dead.” Woman says, “Are you sure?”

“Yes”

“How can you be sure? You’ve done no tests.”

Vet brings in a Labrador Retriever which sniffs the duck and shakes his head. Next, a cat which sniffs the bird and shakes it’s head. Vet says, “Sorry, but as I said your duck is dead.” Vet hands the woman a bill.

She cries, “$820 to tell me my duck is dead!”

“If you had taken my work for it the bill would be $20 but Lab reports and Cat scans cost extra.”

COFFEE/COCOA TOGETHER

If you decide not to close this... Be sure you forward it so that the coffee will continue to pour. We can pretend we are sharing a good cup of coffee/cocoa while enjoying... Good Morning Blessings.... If it stops with you, then the blessing will disappear. The blessing will only keep working if it is continuously passed around. If you are a recipient of a blessing, Keep the blessing working being the source of blessing to other people.

This morning when I awoke And saw the sun above, I softly said, ‘Good morning, Lord, Bless everyone I love’ Right away I thought of you and said a loving prayer, That He would bless you specially, And keep you free from care. I thought of all the happiness a day could hold in store, I wished it all for you
because no one deserves it more.

I felt so warm and good inside, My heart was all aglow. I know God heard my prayers for you, He hears them all, you know.

You have two choices. Smile and close this page Or pass this along To someone else to
spread the good feelings. I know that I did! When you reach the end of your rope ...

You will find the hem of His garment.’

Lol, I Love that Post, Dubya! My Grandma used to give her Cat a Pill Everyday, and she worked out a Successful System. With One Hand she would Place her Palm over Charlie's Face, so his Eyes were Hidden, and then 2 of her Fingers would Gently Press on his Jaws, and when his Mouth Opened, she Popped the Pill in Quickly. Then she would Gently Rub his Throat, and he would Swallow the Pill. She said once in a while it wouldn't Work, though, and she would have to Repeat the Process.

Prayers Continuing for you Everyday, FRiend.

We discovered RFDTV, all good clean family music and shows on Dish TV.

Youngest daughter gave us Netflix for Christmas and we watch a lot of the older movies...any one remember Mr. Limpid with Don Knots?

Whispering Bill Anderson is doing a Family Reunion show and it is one of the best things to watch on RFDTV and see the writers and singers of our youth still able to do their music. Comes on on Friday nights. They even have Hee Haw!

BYU TV has restoration of old tractors, and Fons & Porter quilt show which is my favorite. Hubby tapes them and Elenaor Burns shows for me, so I can watch them at my time of choice.

Thank you for your Post, Gail. I Remember the Don Knotts Movie, and have it on a DVD in One of our Bookcases. I Always Thought the Voice of Ladyfish was So Pretty. She was Elizabeth MacRae, who Played Gomer's Girlfriend on Gomer Pyle, USMC.

I just Bought a DVD of One of my All-Time Favorite Movies, "The African Queen," and am Looking Forward to Watching it. I'll Check my Dish TV and see if RFD TV and BYU TV are on the Package we have.

Rising To The Top
September 14, 2011

“Lacks ambition.” That is not a phrase you want to see on your performance review. When it comes to work, employees who lack ambition seldom rise to the top of an organization. Without a strong desire to achieve something, nothing is accomplished. Ambition, however, has a dark side. It often has more to do with elevating self than with accomplishing something noble for others.

This was the case with many of the kings of Israel, including the first one. Saul started out with humility, but he gradually came to consider his position as something that belonged to him. He forgot that he had a special assignment from God to lead His chosen people in a way that would show other nations the way to God. When God relieved him of duty, Saul’s only concern was for himself (1 Sam. 15:30).

In a world where ambition often compels people to do whatever it takes to rise to positions of power over others, God calls His people to a new way of living. We are to do nothing out of selfish ambition (Phil. 2:3) and to lay aside the weight of sin that ensnares us (Heb. 12:1).

If you want to be someone who truly “rises up,” make it your ambition to humbly love and serve God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30).

Rise up, O men of God!
Have done with lesser things:
Give heart and mind and soul and strength
To serve the King of kings. —Merrill

Ambition is short-sighted if our focus is not on God.

Read: 1 Samuel 15:17-30

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit. —Philippians 2:3
