I'm interested in what everyone would add to the list. In no particular order, my list of 15 "must see" movies of the last 30 years...
Bladerunner
The hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy
Stand and deliver
The big labowski
Buckaroo banzai
Oh brother where art thou?
Phenomenon
Fargo
Open range
Cindarella man
The Hitcher
Pay it forward
Once upon a time in america
Forest Gump
Last of the mohicans
Just stay the heck away from the remake. Puke.
Joe Dirt. Heh heh. It’s a Walken movie, so...
Well, I could say thank you for your opinion or I could call you an a**wipe.
Surprise ending!!!!
Thanks for your opinion, a**wipe!
Shawshank Redemption
Shawshank was a pretty good movie tho I can’t stand either of the two stars. I will admit they are good actors tho.
Also they just had to slip in the bit about the jerk Warden being a devout Christian.
Go through the "Genre" lists and rate all the movies you have seen. That will help the computer to form a list of possible choices for you, and it will come up (different each time) every time you go to netflix. I've been a member since shortly after Netflix started. Love it.
Further back than that
My favorite movies:
Anything with Humphrey Bogart
Anything with John Wayne
Anything with Jimmy Stewart
Anything with James Cagney
Wizard of Oz
Sound of Music
The Great Escape
Tora Tora Tora
“Also they just had to slip in the bit about the jerk Warden being a devout Christian.”
The point was that he was not a devout Christian. He was a hypocrite.
My opinion is they wanted to cast Christians as hypocrites.
Thanks I will. ;D
We have the winner.I cant take this crap comming out of hollyweird these days. They’re a bunch of pansies or worse.
“No Tiem For Sargeants” Andy Griffith and Don Knots and many other big names. Funniest movie I have ever seen.

“White Squall”
Tombstone was good, but Lonesome Dove was better. Great shoothout in another Duvall flick was “Open Range”.

There were two versions.
One was a TV serial and one was a movie. Both had Andy and Barney. Most of the other characters were different.
Good choice
Another Duvall good one: Broken Trail Duvall calls it the final story in his trilogy... LD, OR and BT
