There are many here on Free Republic that absolutely love our "Fru-babies". We post pics and follow each other, well I thought it would be terrific if we post the pictures of our 'babies'.
I don't know about you all but mine 'get me through' these nightmarish days. They love me no matter what. They are there and want to be with me no matter what. That includes the way I now look in the mornings! LOL!
Show YOUR babies here... :) Here are a few of mine both past and present...
This is baby smokey. She was destined for the gunny sack and creek but...she came to live with me. :)
This is 'Gremlin'. He was absolutely the best K9 I ever owned. Collies rule! He was lying on the side of the road way back in the 80's. His tail had been snapped off (a trap?) and he was full of burrs. Anyway he came to live with us. We groomed him for days to get out the burrs. The vet said he was around 15 years old. Gremlin lived with us for around 7 years. Absolutely the best dog I ever owned.
This is "Bubby", (he made me post this). This is the most perfect feline I've ever had. He's a 3-legger and came to be with us 3 years ago. One day I looked out my front door and he was wandering around. All I had to do was call 'here kitty, kitty, kitty...and he came flying. What a blessing he has been to my household!
And this...this is "Baby Boy" the most joyous experience I've had raising a 'critter'. My 'feral' rescue (no pics of her) brought him home one night. His eyes were still closed. She was licking him like he was a kitten and she had him firmly in her clutches (but no injuries). All I can surmise is that she thought he was an orphaned kitten.
Show your Furbabies and tell your story(ies). I'm thoroughly convinced that God gives us these creatures as gifts. They enrich our lives and they love us without reservation. I'm hoping you will share your blessings with all of us FReepers.
Fur babies, huh? Well, I could show you a picture of my chest, but I’d be banned from FR for life...

Good job....
All I can say is awwww. :) Please, tell the story about the baby with one eye. Are these all rescues Eaker? What a beautiful group!
All are adorable.
Also heart warming to know there are kind people like you who take in “fur-babies” and give them a loving home. :)
Awww, thanks for posting these and telling their stories. I’m not home enough to have a dog so I enjoy seeing pictures of other people’s pets.
Thank you. If you have a pet please, upload a pic clairity. This thread is for “them” and the joy they bring us. :)
The min-pin with one eye, a rescue started a fight with the coon-hound pictured next to him when the hound was a pup. Even though he was a pup he still weighed about 30 pounds and the min-pin was about 13 pounds. Fighting out of one’s weight class is never a good idea.
The other two min-pins are his daughters one of which was actually born in my lap.
The Pomeranian was hit a glancing blow by the car in front of me and when I stopped to check on her she jumped in my car. She had a piece of phone cord tied around her neck and was matted and malnourished so I took her home.
The one in the top row middle is a pit / red-heeler mix which was destined to be put to sleep if not adopted and is the smartest dog I have ever had. He loves to crawl into my lap when I am at my computer desk. Quite a lap dog at 70+ pounds.
It is a real trip as they are all so different but all well loved.
LOL! I love it!
Were these babies raised by you?
These sorts of threads really make my day, and I thank you for them.
Mark
That is a tiny dog!
Does she have any Great Dane blood?
Haha ... no. But she beats up my other larger dog.
