How about a post from FR on what the h**l is going on. Page loads are erratic and more often than not fail. How long until we can expect resumption of normal service? What gives. (I've seen several comments to posts also complaining about problems. I'm not having problems with any other sites, just Free Republic.)

Apparently, though, the solution is not a quick and easy fix.
Well, it’s just as well that the store didn’t have a Roku to swap out for the (not supposed to be) used one that was sold to me last week. My father would’ve been even more disappointed with his gift than he already is.

My Netflix movie actually kept warning me that my movie would skip and stop because my ‘connection was too slow’.
6MB per second is “too slow”?!?

Over the years I donated a fair amount but man, things are tight lately!
Yeh, it’s screwed up, but I naturally assumed it was a response for “coopertion” that the gubmint “requested” a few months ago from search engines, ISPs, etc.
I had Netflix for a time. I watched several movies and all but one season of Married with Children on my PC (all but two seasons actually but after the next to the last season I realized that non-stop big 'uns was now all there was.)
I mentioned my frequent use of Netflix because both the latest IE and the latest Firefox started going into dead loops. Task Manager showed the video software stuff jumping to 99 percent of cpu.
Nexflix tech people told me of some kind of change -- I don't recall anything about the details -- and told me that it was all by DSL provider's fault.
I said goodbye, hung up and cancelled Netflix. That was a couple of months ago.
I was so frustrated, but I soldiered on! As a result, some of my posts were haphazard and “not quite perfect”.
Even with all the difficulties, the “FR Spelling Nazis” still managed to be out in force, correcting my spelling! LOL
I get this a lot right now 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable.Anyone else?

Yeah, I’ve been getting a lot of these this morning. Hopefully, John will get it fixed soon.
