An open letter to Governor Sarah Palin:
Dear Mrs. Palin,
I'm writing this open letter to make the case for you to seriously consider a run for the Presidency in 2012.
I believe that our nation is at a critical juncture, and the need for a strong, noble leader is desperate. Times like these are when great leaders often emerge. Winston Churchill in 1940, Ronald Reagan in 1980. Now, it's time for the great leader of the next decade, and I think you are the one we're looking to.
We need the GOP to win the presidency next year, but that's just a start. What good does it do just to win the election without a clear blueprint for Renewal? The GOP may as well just throw in the towel if they don't have the vision and courage to put forth a common-sense conservative agenda, and stick to it until success is achieved. The Republicans may as well be co-conspirators if they fail to distinguish themselves from the soft tyranny that's being promoted by Washington through it's various departments and agencies. How could anyone blame the electorate for feeling that "There's not a dime's worth of difference" between the two parties unless the Republicans act boldly in defense of these principles?
Hence my plea, on behalf of The American People. All across the country for the past 3 years, huge crowds have waited for your appearances. I can tell you that the reason I went to hear you was that you speak in a voice that's of us. We see in you a kindred spirit who's not afraid to fight for her beliefs, and we find it inspirational. As you stated in the first speech that I heard you make, "A ship is safe in harbor, but that's not why the ship was built."
Mrs. Palin, it's probably presumptuous to try to read God's Will, so I'll only say that I don't think it's a coincidence that you've emerged as a leader at this time in our history. I also understand the enormity of the task we're asking you to undertake, and know you've got duties as a wife and mother that have to be considered. I personally support whatever decision you come to. I just want to emphasize the huge army of supporters who see you as the leader who can allow us to turn over to our children and grandchildren the same country we inherited.
Thank You,
"Palin45Potus"

No need.
The uninformed ignorance and parroting of leftist mythology is not even worth a rejoinder.
*Seriously, can we get a function added to the software that prevents posting articles until you’ve made 100 replies? It would eliminate most of the noob nonsense and blog pimps.

You do know - right? - that newbies can’t post a thread without first having a moderator approve it? I don’t know how long this goes on, but ALL newbie threads (vanities, zot threads, legitimate articles, etc) are scrutinized first before publication.
Why would you round 32 months down to 24?
Let's see, for the past 20+ years all that "EXPERIENCE" of...BUSH-I, CLINTON, and BUSH-II,..... and you see where that got us!
Replace one 'inexperienced' socialist (ZERO) with an 'experienced' socialist (BJ Clinton), and that should do the trick. Maybe not. Heyyyy, we can do BETTER! Whyyyy, let's put the 'old' Republican 'EXPERIENCE' formula together again...(BUSH-I / BUSH-II). welllllll, maybe not.
Does the restriction work for posting articles as well, or just replies? If the mods approve all the noob vanities that get through either ya'll are slipping or having entirely too much fun.
Palin has much more Government experience than Mitt Romney, and she was effective and popular as Governor and in her other offices, Romney was a failure, and unpopular.
Romney was unable to run for reelection as he desired, and he left that 48 months in office as a failure with 34% approval.
If she’s having a struggle (not just a strategy or timing issue) I believe her struggle is between the price her family and children will certainly pay if she runs and the price America will pay if she doesn’t. I sense her run may be God’s will. Others will always pay a price for our obedience to God. We must put them in God’s hands where they’re better off than they would be otherwise.
PALIN/CAIN
Good post. Notice not one response and this is the first post/thread since signing up yesterday.
Call me skeptical. We’ve seen people come on FR and intentionally start a frenzy of one type or another and dropping Palin’s name usually does the trick as we can see.
The purpose? To gauge reaction. By whom? Who knows who is lurking.
((ping for your edification))
Tell me how someone that had a 80%+ approval rating when she was nominated for VP suddenly was so suddenly so brazenly corrupt that over thirty frivolous lawsuits - all thrown out - were lodged in a three month period? Trust me when I say that Sarah will take that supposed monkey on her back and jujitsu it and demonstrate the moral morass of establishment Dems in Alaska and beyond.
They don’t understand why she left. They just regurgitate the MSM lines.
As someone who has to work inside the environment of a state Bureaucracy in emergency and disaster management, I am well aware of FOIA rules, and ethics laws. When an executive staff is spending more than 80% of their daily time dealing with repeat and frivolous FOIA requests, they can’t accomplish anything else. Sarah made a tough choice that hurt her personally, but HELPED the state she had sworn to serve. In leaving she did the best thing for Alaska, she put the people first. That is EXACTLY the kind of leader we have been missing. Someone who ACTUALLY puts the people they are serving FIRST instead of themselves.
Those who slime her for her decision literally slime the values they say they believe in.
That makes em laughable.
“We all have private ails. The troublemakers are they who need public cures for their private ails.”...Eric Hoffer
EXACTLY!
Her entire political career demonstrates that. Why she got involved in politics, and why she left it! "POWER" was not her primary motive in seeking elective office.
All the critics and fools can say whatever the hell they want. They know she's not cut from the same cloth as the rest of their imposters and pretenders they seek to support, so that's why they want to cut her down.
And what does Romney have to do with this discussion? I thought we were talking about Sarah Palin. Those on here afflicted with MDS have to drag him into every discussion. But since you did at least Mitt finished the job, Sarah quit and if you don’t think that will be a issue with the non-Palinsta, independent voters, those pesky people who decide elections, you are sadly mistaken. 30 month as governor, a stint as mayor of a tiny Alaska town and a few years on an appointed board is not a great presidential resume’. Add to that her 37% approval/55% disapproval ratings among likely voters and she comes across as a candidate that only a zealot who didn’t care about winning could love and support. But as they say it’s a free country so have at it, just don’t try to make her out as the new Reagan/Thatcher/Churchill, it make you look like a fool and diminishes those great leaders.
