Wow! Trump lays it on the line. No holds barred.
I thought I was dreaming. What!? Truth? Reality? Fact? on the TV?
Wow. Trump is the man. Even if he has a Liberal past, he is a true American.
If he is not a Freeper, he should get a free pass.
Even if Trump got this birther idea from Hillary Clinton herself?
“Asked about Hillary Clinton, Trump praised the former first lady, saying he thought she was ready to be commander-in-chief. She’s ‘very talented, very smart. SHE’S A FRIEND OF MINE, SO I’M A LITTLE BIT PREJUDICED’ he said ‘She’s a very, very capable person and I think she’ll probably be the nominee. We’ll see, but I think she’ll probably be the nominee.’” (Trump in 2008)

If you’ve been as much a birther as I have over these several years, you know that the question over why Hillary didn’t come up with the goods on Obama before spring of 2008 has always been one of the biggest mysteries of it all.
I don’t know if it’s true—at this point it’s only my speculation. But if Hillary is behind Trump’s birtherism, the whole picture would really come together.
“Hes not a Conservative, hes simply a Liberal pretending to be a Conservative. Some ppl are easily fooled by ppl who say the right thing, not me. I dont trust him”
The enemy of my enemy is....?
Levin is great. I love him. But he is wrong on the Donald. The Donald is far to the right of Obama, who as we all know is an outright Communist.
The Donald may also be to the right of Romney, who both raised taxes AND implemented a government run health care plan. Last I checked, Trump has done neither one of these two things.
i’ll vote for whoever trashes obama the most. if that’s trump, so be it.
Right !
Trump endorsed McCain. Not that that is necessarily a point in Trump's favor.
Preach it patriot.
BTW did anybody count how many times Trump said "deal" tonight on Hannity? Pretty creepy when you think of it. Trump has dealing on the brain. He has no governing philosophy.
When he thought about running in 2000 he was a pro abort and he was pro government run health-care. Now, when he's thinking about running, he claims to be otherwise.
So what deal did Trump make back in 2000? What deal has Trump cut now? What deal would Trump cut with Democrats and with the Media if he were president?
And about his recent contributions to Hillary, Wierner, Schumer, Emanual, what illegal favors did he get from these Marxist politicians? And if he didn't get any favors from them, then why the hell did he donate to these people who are destroying our country??
FUDT!
Well of course as a private citizen, Donald Trump can't do both of those things. But, as has been documented here numerous times, Trump did advocate for government run health care, and he did advocate a confiscation tax on the rich.
Chavez in Venezuela would be proud of that, I'm sure.
Maybe running the country like a business would work!
Outsource, downsize.
This guy out of Denver has a good radio show with “birther” issues:
http://www.khow.com/cc-common/podcast/single_page.html?podcast=fullshow_boyles
Trump told Hannity that he will NOT play the role of Perot—that he would run as an Independent only if he was sure he could win. He said emphatically that he absolutely would not run against the Republican unless he was sure he could defeat Obama.
I don’t know about illegal favors but his donations probably kept a lot of his paperwork from getting lost where he does business.
I’m glad to see that most here on FR have finally realized that Trump is not to be trusted. I think the “deal” that makes the most sense is the Hillary connection. If Trump can damage obama enough, then Hillary can step up to “save” the country. She has said that she has no interest in being obama’s VP. But she really really does want to be president (even if she denies it). 3012 is her only chance at the job, but if she runs it she has to have a legitimate reason for stepping up to run against the O. Trump may be trying to give her that reason.
I have thought for a long time that Hillary would figure out a way to run in 3012. Never underestimate a clinton. The timing of Trump’s attacks on obama are coincidental to Hillary leaving S of S job. How long before we hear a comment from her expressing her concern that obama has “lost the trust” of the people, or something along that line?
Trump is not to be trusted. There are many reasons to believe that he is making some kind of “deal”.
Obviously I’m projecting into the future. 3012? It’s late and my fingers are tired. 2012.
Playing the "pro-life" card does not make anyone a conservative. Conserving the republic, preserving the US Constitution, ensuring the national security from our enemies, "ensure the blessings of liberty" and such -- those are conservative values.
Huckabee has never been a conservative, and doesn't even know what the word means; he's a pro-life, nanny state, liberal.
Romney is also an anti-American, liberal, globalist POS, RINO, who will say whatever he needs to get elected. He's a slimey, used-car salesman.
Pawlenty -- milquetoast, soft-spoken, spineless RINO. He will cave to the Democrats like an alter boy to a pedophile priest. Same for every other spineless RINO.
It's not such tough a choice.
1) We can pick any of the anti-American, limp-wristed RINOs who will promise to quit their treason, who then will promptly stab us in the back again, and the USA will go into the dustbin of history with a faux Republican at the helm.
2) We can pick Sarah Palin, the only pro-American, commonsense, Constitutional conservative Republican on the national scene, and probably the best candidate for president the country has seen in over two centuries. Only problem is that there are too many nutless, gutless, faux macho, insecure, moronic men, who are too stupid to see beyond their own inadequacies to vote for a woman who is twice the man that they are.
3) We can pick Trump; not really conservative; not really ethical; but pro-American and wealthy enough to speak the truth without caring what the communist media might say about him. And for the nutless, gutless macho wimps, Trump is a man, sort of. He has a personal interest in saving the USA, and that should be sufficient for anyone with better than room temperature IQ.
4) Or we can keep whining that none of them are quite perfect enough, roll over and die, and let the USA disappear into a thousand years of darkness under a combined communist/muslim satanic reign of terror.
Potential 2012 Republican Presidential Candidate
Business Magnate Donald Trump on the Issues
Trump on Abortion
Donald Trump is pro life.
Although Trump opposes abortion he respects the rights of women to make their own choices.
The only abortion procedure Trump feels should be banned is partial birth abortion.

He said that giving a withdrawal date was a stupid mistake,
He believes now that the Taliban knows when the U.S. will withdraw, they will merely wait for us to go and re-take the country.
Trump on the Budget
Donald Trump thinks that if something isnt done soon, well have a crash worse than that of 1929.
In 1999, he proposed taxing the rich with a one-time 14.25% tax to erase the national debt, which he still thinks is a good idea.
He said that such a plan would save billions annually in interest payments.
Eliminating debt would boost the economy 35% and income taxes could be lowered.

Trump on Capital Punishment
Donald Trump says that anyone who takes a life should forfeit their own.
He said criminals have declared war on decent people and lethal injection is too comfortable.
100% of the people executed will never commit another crime.
He thinks that capital punishment also serves as a deterrent for some.
Trumps believes that judges should be held accountable for their sentencing. Pedophiles, drunk drivers, murderers and other criminals are often are set free to prey again because of light sentencing.
He wants to stop the victim culture and recognize what criminals arebad people who prey on good people and they should be punished as harshly as possible.
Trump on China
Trump says we give way too many advantages to China and they're laughing at how easy it is to take advantage of the U.S.
He thinks that we should tax all imports from China 25%. That would encourage buying American and balance out the trade deficit.
Human rights are important - if the Chinese are oppressed, then there shouldn't be much of a market for US goods. We are betraying our principles by allowing them to violate basic rights of their people.
We should not keep our markets open to countries that oppress their people or steal from us.
He said that the US makes better products but China manipulates their currency so people almost have to buy Chinese products to stay in business.
China makes it nearly impossible to do business there but wants our technology and for Americans to buy their products.
Trump on Civil Liberties
Trump believes diversity is good and has made this country what it is.
Crimes against people for their race, sexual orientation, religion, etc should be prosecuted as hate crimes with more punitive penalties than random crimes.
He thinks that big government is the worst threat to civil liberties. Government scrutiny of private individuals is a real threat and curtails liberties. Government should keep to public works and safety and limit itself to that.
Trump on the Deficit
Donald Trump believes that the deficit would be greatly reduced if government would stay out of things in which it doesnt do well, which is a very long list.

Trump believes raising taxes is foolish seeing that the US is the highest taxed nation in the world.
He thinks the economy would improve if we would charge the countries we protect.
Trump on Energy
Trump thinks we should use our natural resources to solve our energy problems while helping the economy.
He believes that the US has so much oil in our ocean and we should get it.
He thinks that we don't use much of our natural gas but we should.
He said that Abu Dhabi has plenty of oil but just went to natural gas because they want us to buy oil at ridiculous prices. Unless we use our natural resources well always be prisoners of OPEC.
Trump on Foreign Affairs
Donald Trump wants the US to quit appeasing dictators.
He knows that foreign policy is not as easy as drawing up a general plan, be thinks we should be deal-makers instead of chess players.
Deal-makers can put our interests first, know when to back off, when to be tough and never settle for less than America deserves.
Trump believes that if countries want our help they should have something to give in return other than vague promises of 'working toward democracy'. They need us more than we need them; we should use our leverage to benefit everyone but especially ourselves.
Trump on Gun Control
Donald Trump generally opposes gun control.
He thinks that every law abiding citizen should have a gun if they want to.
Trump believes that assault weapons should be banned, who needs them except criminals and police?
He wants a longer waiting period for hand guns, rifles and shotguns. We should be able to tell within 72 hours if a person has a record or mental issues that would prohibit ownership.
Trump on Health Care
Donald Trump believes that people should have access to affordable health care.
He has advocated a single payer system in the past but believes the new health care law is unconstitutional and so costly that it will bankrupt the country.
Trump on Immigration
Donald Trump thinks that legal immigration should be difficult and illegal immigration should be impossible.
He believes that we cant absorb all the illegals and thinks that theyre destroying our economy.
He wants to take care of our own people first. Were bankrupting our states with illegals that take advantage of hospital emergency rooms, entitlement programs and public education.
Trump on Iran
Donald Trump believes that our soldiers have no business in the Middle East.
Trump on Iraq
Trump believes we should withdraw from Iraq and the Middle East.
He would not be in Iraq unless our own interests are directly threatened.
Trump would not offer humanitarian intervention.
Trump on Israel
Donald Trump maintains that Israel is our best friend.
He thinks we should do everything we can to protect Israel
He believes that Israel should be the cornerstone of our policy in the region.
Theyve always been there for us and we should be there for them. They are the only stable democracy in the region that is not run by dictators. They are pioneers in medicine and communication and a close fair trading partner.
Trump on National Security
Trump believes that America is ill prepared for a biological attack.
He would prepare for biological attack by stockpiling and rotating antibiotics and other remedies while training emergency workers.
He thinks that there should be sensors in major cities for early warning of biological devices activated.
He thinks that the public should be educated to reduce panic if an attack occurs.
Trump on North Korea
Trump believes that we should stop North Korean nukes by force if necessary.
Trump on Poverty
Trump believes that teen moms should not receive assistance unless they meet tough requirements. Living in group homes might reduce further pregnancies by lending moral support.
He said that there are many people that work out of churches, temples or on their own who want to care for the poor and disadvantagedlet them, and restrict public assistance.
He thinks that states, cities and counties should partner with faith-based charitable organizations and others. He believes that communities should work together instead of depending on public assistance.
Trump on Same Sex Issues
Donald Trump is not in favor of same sex marriage.
With Trump, you have to examine the other end of the horse.
Remember that were all pretty demoralized. Thanks to Republican pussification, many, myself included are willing to consider ANYTHING to end the current stupidity going on in DC now. Not saying its right or good, just that it is what it is.Norm, you captured my spirit exactly.
I am demoralized over the pussification of the Republican Party.
That is exactly right. It does make me open to the "Trump possibility", even though I see the obvious and inherent dangers involved.
If the RINO entrenched GOP puts forth a candidate (or candidates plural) that bear RINO stench in 2012, I predict it to be the end of the GOP, officially and an enraged majority of citizens who put the 2010 into congressional (and other conservative) seats. The need by those who kiss Obama's ring has made the majority of GOP elites unwatchable on Fox News and elsewhere. I quit satellite TV so as not to watch the morons any longer, but their idiotic posturing shows up on videos (or clips from their websites), making them "visible" despite attempts to ignore them totally. Their utterings bash "real" conservatives and all who question the magnitude of facets unknown about our current elected leader.Well said.
Karl Rove is on Greta dissing Trump. Now I love Trump!LOL!
Trump has embrace the tea party - something the GOP has yet to do. He is going to be at a Tea Party rally today with Allen West.
