About 10 minutes down the road at one time ...Many “take shelters” being announced...I have rain and thunder..a bit of hail but not the big stuff..yet

It’s a big thunderstorm...covering a wide area..the rotation was noted near enough for me to “prepare” to jump in the bathtub..Prayers for all in harms’ way. No touchdown yet...just the conditions are showing on radar for one or several.

All those prayers for rain are working tonight.!

It’s all over for me now!..No tornado warnings ..no hail warnings..rain has stopped...It has moved out of Waco.

I Just Logged Onto FR and Read your Post about the Fire 15-20 Miles from you, LUV W, and the Bad Weather in your Area, Meg; Praying as I Type for your Safety, Dear FRiends. There is a Tornado Watch for my Area of Texas, so I Unlocked an Old Boxcar on the Property so I can Go in there if Necessary.

I hear ya! It moved so fast I doubt we got much rain..though it was heavy for a time. Any rain is welcome..
I can do without the hail and tornados

Storm is gone for me...tornado warning and even the tornado watch is over..was on til 5am..It’s moved to other counties nearby.
Still have warnings moving east.

Just saw a news bulletin that there have been several residences lost in Pleasant Farms...the area of the fire south of us. And the wind is still kickin’ it around. :(

I know my FRiends are here.
I only prepare my safe spot in my interior bathroom when there is a warning..and I can see it is close.We get so many “watches” in Texas . This was close enough to have me grab the scaredy kitty when I could so I could put her in the saferoom if necessary The other two let me grab them when needed.

I have a great respect for the damage tornados can do..

Last year Minnesota had the most tornadoes in the United States, I believe for the first time ever. It was a long summer, even as far north as I am. Scary indeed.
