Glenn Beck Network
I thought I’d post this here. You never know who is reading FR.
If Beck starts his own network, would it work? Who should he hire as newsmen and anchors?
Well, I’m not saying people wouldn’t watch him - probably most of the same people who find a way to watch him now as early as he is on. What I meant is the the prime-time viewers wouldn’t watch him because of the perception I noted.
Example: I watch at least the first 15-20 minutes of O’Reilly most nights because he gets the best guests. I made it a point to watch once he started having Beck on, thinking maybe I was wrong in my judgement and that given a prime-time audience Beck could show me something I’d missed.
Instead, he clowns around (see previous post!) with O’Reilly and generally acts like a goofball. I’ve never heard him make a single intelligent point in his segment on BORs show - not even once. He screws around, he mugs for the camera, he engages with supposedly-comical repartee with BOR (who isn’t any funnier) and essentially wastes the viewers time. That segment has gone from “must watch” to “don’t watch” here.
Maybe he would be different in his own show, and I don’t say this just to irritate people who love Glenn Beck. But he squandered the one prime-time opportunity he was given in my opinion.
Now THAT’S a combo!
Drudge doesn’t have the pretty colored pictures and videos like the Huffington Post. All the words and facts are confusing to the libtards.
No cable or satellite system will carry it.

If he could join an existing channel that has an existing viewership, and then do a one or 2 hour nightly show, that might be the best way to do it. He could be like Conan on TBS, only he would do it on TNT or USA or CMT. The network that took him would see 5 times the ratings they currently get, and we would have some desperately needed conservative competition on the 8pm time slot.
The question I have is - how much of his credibility comes from being on Fox? If he leaves, does he lose that credibility?
He didn’t catch on fire until he got onto Fox and will he burn out without Fox’s umbrella of respectability?
Yeah, Fox gets a lot of respect. LOL.
If news is driven by the profit and not ideological motives how do you explain 99% of the Lamestream media?

Oreilly wants to have Obamas baby, look out Michelle, Sheppard wants to join al-qaeda to free the Arabs and start the Califate, and Geraldo wants to buy La Raza and watch West Side Story all day and sing along:

Not from FReepers, but from the country as a whole it does. It has the highest ratings and that's what we're talking about. If Glenn doesn't get ratings he'll fail.
And I, personally, like and support Glenn. I think he's doing God's work. But I wonder about his positioning in the market and about what I posted in my question.
There are a ton of poeple who would join, I think if he decided to start his own network it should be a partnership between himself, Breitbart, and Matt Drudge.
I’d like to see an actual news network. Cover as much news nationally and internationally without politicizing the selection, presentation and commentary. Novel idea but it would never work.

Hate it when Conservatives act like crybabies. I suffer through some of these programs and/or I do not watch. Actually like the idea that Libs tune to 'Fox' to watch some of this programming; and who knows, may stick around and learn something.
Have no problem with 'fair and balanced' in an otherwise, foreign landscape crafted by what is a totally, 'alternative' and inauthentic Media.
Fox News not perfect; nor 'perfectly' Conservative; and not supposed to be. You can write them, if you think they are too far off track or they are just missing it on an issue; and as a viewer; I do just that.
(Good grief; cannot even watch House & Gargen channel w/o being offended by theirLiberal politics; though I have to say; have never bothered to write them. I just turn the channel when I do not like it; i.e. when they veer too heavily; as they too often do; to 'social messaging' instead of just showcasing innocuous house design or real estate. . .)
I think you sell them short in believing that any new network might be a rehash of Glen Beck’s Fox News program or even his radio program. Take a look at Joel Cheatwood’s track record. Quite frankly, the research on Beck’s TV program FAR EXCEEDS that of O’Reilly or others. The producers on that network have become lazy. Beck might see the writing on the wall, and bolt if they try to cut his budget on research.
I would look for more “educational” content like Beck’s Early American Heritage series, and more diversity in presentation. Just a hunch. Given a choice of an arrogant, interrupting O’Reilly and a fresh new approach like Beck/Cheatwood, I would dump O’Reilly in a heartbeat.

Example, Open Border Whorealdo accusing the Americans of lying about the Illegals disrespecting our country,Too be blunt, He hates White People and should not be there.
What are the chances Beck's "network" would have any reasonable accessibility to most of us?
