I'm curious what people though in general of the Superbowl ads. Do you have a favorite. Did you like them?
I thought the same thing about that Pepsi add, where the woman threw the soda can at the man who ducked, and the can hit the woman in the head.
In fact, there was another Pepsi add later in the game where another can of pop was thrown at someone. Pepsi seems to have a fixation on throwing pop cans...
Detroit is an Islamic nation.
My wife and I had to watch at least 5 times on the internet the mini Darth Vader and the VW Passat. I could not help laughing ever time. the look on the dad’s face trying to help the kid was great!
Agreed. I was looking forward to another Anheiser Busch clydesdale and/or dalmation ad.
It was a great game, particularly by Super Bowl standards. Too often, one team just folds.
Back in ~1985, I was TDY at our office in Denver. Out in the parking lot there was a brand new Jeep. It was parked at an an angle taking up 4 parking spots. I suggested we put some cars around it all facing the opposite direction. Wr had a 60's Buick on one side and a 60's Ford on the other. People in the office were going out one at a time and putting cars on either side. By the time the guy (who none of us knew) came out for lunch we had 16 cars parked around him all facing the opposite direction at the same angle as his Jeep. We left him a way out. After lunch he came back and parked along the back of the lot using 1 parking space.

That commercial was making the rounds on Face Book last week. I love it! My son had a Darth Vader costume when he was little and that little boy is my son to a T. My husband, daughter and I laughed our patooties off watching it.
Loved that one. The Coke "border" commercial was good too, I think Coca-Cola walks away with the title this year.
Escape from the luxury prison was cute.
"Darth Vader" was also cute, but I had seen it before game day, so it doesn't count.
I missed the pre-game show, but that sounds great.
I forgot about that one! Yes, you are correct. There I was, sitting with my young teenage sons (with their friends) and I was so upset! The exact OPPOSITE of what we try and teach our children!
You are correct, that was offensive.
The absolute worst one i saw was the Safeauto insurance ad, where some guy is repeatedly getting kicked in the nuts.
I’m all about ding free parking, but it is possible to do it without being an a**hole. I’m glad you guys taught him a lesson on how to do it right in a non-damaging way.
I did like the Dorito ad where the guy teased his gf’s pug...it was cute.
When I saw that, at first I thought the singer’s screeching had disturbed a small flock of birds!
None of the ads were really “great”. Starting with the National Anthem (which I missed, but have noticed the talk here and elsewhere), the ads and poor half time show, worst stupid boll ever. Just glad the GB peckers beat the P - burg stillers, since zero wanted the bares to beat GB.
Oh. Thanks.
You realize that if the races were reversed and a white woman threw a can and hit a black woman that the ghetto’s would be burning? Race pimps would be shouting?
That was my favorite too. The little boy in the ad was on TV this morning. You'd never know he was born with a heart defect and had to get a pacemaker at 4 months. He's the picture of health, a real cutey.
Parents Jennifer and Buck Page, returned to the hospital on Friday with both Max and his brother, Ellison, to visit with Michael Silka, MD. Head of the hospital's Division of Cardiology and Max's pediatric cardiologist. Dr. Silka spoke very positively about his energetic young patient.
"Max's prognosis going forward is very good," Silka says. "He can essentially have normal activity and with careful care, a full life is a reasonable expectation."
Yeah. Our thinking at the time was if you want to take up multiple spots, don’t do it in the second row - take it to the back of the lot.
