All that yapping make you feel better? If the receivers don’t drop those passes that Rodgers threw into mailbox sized windows the game is out of hand in a hurry - and Rodgers has a game for the ages. It has to be one way or the other.

The Steelers have lived on its tough defenses for years, even decades. When they force a game changing turnover, is it just luck? Or, is it good Steelers football? Then why is a good defensive play by the other team just luck?

All I know is that the score was 31-25 Packers when I went to bed last night and it is 31-25 Packers in the sports pages today.

HA HA HA Your team finally wins a game and you act like they are the greatest team of all time. Flash in the pan is what i see. Doubt we will see the packers for another ten years at the least.

As for sore loser i am not sore about anything and i was one of the first to post anything about the end of the game. You guys are the ones that keep crying about refs and old time football team an so on.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are the greatest modern era football team and simply beat themselves on sunday. As a fan of the game for over 50 years i did not see anything special about the packers.

Nope, not giving back the ring. I don't think the Packers should either. They won, the Steelers weren't able to overcome their bad luck and mistakes. You have to admit though, they came awfully close.

I agree luck in many many forms is part of the game: turnovers, funny bounces, wind (when outside), fan noise, bad calls/missed calls (a sad fact of life, refs can't see everything all the time), bumps, trips, slips (what was up with the field anyway? Lots of guys were slipping...), players getting hot and doing something stupid (drawing a flag), domes collapsing... Heck, if luck weren't part of the game, we'd just play the pre-season, collect some stats on the players, and everyone would figure out who beat who. Ha, ask any fantasy football player how well that works out...

My only issue is with the few people I've run into here who seem to refuse to admit that luck could have had anything to do with GB's win. I guess they think +3 and 21 points off turnovers is the norm. They must've been awfully disappointed in all those games where the Packers didn't get their 3 for 21. (which a quick check of the GB website shows only happened 4 other times this year) ;-) Me? Hey, I readily admit luck played a big part in getting the Steelers in the game. I don't think it detracts from the team - far from it. Catching a break once in a while makes up for all those frustrating times things go against you. For example, the Steelers' two playoff games were not their best efforts of the year. It was only good luck - in that the Ravens and Jets had uncharacteristically even worse games - that got them there. Steelers probably used up an entire season's worth of luck in the Raven's game alone. I mean, who goes into the half trailing the Ravens by 14 and still wins? The Steelers and Ravens are far too evenly matched, the Steelers couldn't have managed that comeback without some luck.

The good news for both teams is next year looks to be a good year. That is, providing they can keep everyone healthy - GB's RBs and DBs, Steelers O line... (more of that luck thing) Also, someone in GB needs to take Nelson aside and glue his hands together for a week. ;-) Seriously, I'll predict right now GB wins their division. Detroit will probably be a non-factor, again, Minn will be doing {Deity} knows what with a new QB and possibly another coach. Chicago? I think you guys can take them and come up with a better record. I'd give the Steelers an 80% chance of hitting the playoffs next year, either as a wildcard or division champ. Any given year it's a coin toss between us and the Ravens for the division. The Steelers will need to get a couple of good DBs - putting Polamalu back in coverage - where he played all the post-season games - just isn't working. He was basically a non-factor in all three games compared to when he plays up.

Considering the Packers damn near beat the Patriots in Foxboro with an unknown backup QB, I highly doubt that. They also beat the Jets, and now Pittsburgh. The Packers were a damn good team this year. I am an AFC fan first, but I totally disagree with your theory. the Packers finished the last third of the season and the post season playing at an incredible level.

As a fan of the game for over 50 years i did not see anything special about the packers.

Rodgers has the best passer rating and lowest interception rating of any quarterback in the history of the NFL.

He threw three touchdown passes against the league's number one defense, and this is only his third year as a starter.

They forced three turnovers and gave up none against a team that had a +17 turnover ratio during the regular season.

If you can't see anything special, you must be blind, or just stupid.

I can’t wait until the Packers until the Packers have won 16 World Championships which should be about the year 2016.

*It takes the Packers on average every 7 years to win a World Championship.

It takes the Steelers on average every 13 years to win a World Championship.

The team is just not impressive. Only one ring to date by that QB and one is a far way from 2 or for that matter 4. Sorry i just was not impressed by that team or the game at all. I am not crying or singing the blues i am just saying i was not impressed. QB rating do not mean much or Bradshaw would not have any rings but he has 4. See ya next year maybe if ya make even make the playoffs.

It's his third year as a starter. If that doesn't impress you then you're just being obtuse. Any real football fan recognizes in talent in teams other than the one he roots for.

I'll gladly revisit this thread next year when the Steelers are struggling. Their team is old and they're lucky their defensive breakdown and excessive turnovers occurred in the Super Bowl instead of earlier in the playoffs. Odds are they won't be that lucky next year.

Worst winners ever! Ya’ll just don’t quit do you? We’re not crying. We’re looking forward, hopefully, to next season.

You really are just a baby, aren’t you? There are dozens of football experts who have predicted the Packers have a great shot at being a perennial SB team over the next several years. But you, whining crybaby Stillers fan knows more than they do. Tell your mommy to come and wipe your nose for you.

The Packerettes will not see the Super Bowl for at least 3 more years. I’m no baby i just realize that the quarterback you have is not so great and is a flash in the pan. He had a couple good years and that’s about it. He has yet to win two super bowls. I have watched super bowl quarterbacks my entire life and especially the ones here in Pittsburgh. None so far can even come close to being as good as Bradshaw. Ben is close but still has two more rings to get.

Move on nothing of any relevance here but a flash in the pan team.
