Just Briefed By VERY Senior Retired CIA Officer. "Egypt Is Possible/Probable Disaster For US"
Old proven source | Friends and Fiends

Posted on 01/28/2011 3:01:22 PM PST by MindBender26

As many of you know, am old network TV newsie. Just tapped former proven source, retired VERY senior CIA officer. No Hq paper-pusher type, he is the real deal, a highly successful very senior ME field operator. Retired as ES-4.

From an intel assesment stanspoint, he is a proven source, with access to information, extensive field work in the area, no reason to lie and has always given good data in past.

His assessment (in shorthand:)

1. If Egypt falls, disaster for US. Put succinctly; "the horse we bet all our life savings on may be about to drop dead in the backstretch."

2. If Egypt gmvt falls, radical Muslim Brotherhood will be the new power, totally.

3. If Egypt falls, Jordan and Saudi are in trouble, but not necessarily gone. Even Syria is not safe.

4. Although Muslim Brotherhood would take over, the cause of revolt is not religion but the lack of jobs, horrible standard of living. Saudi and Jordan citizens have somewhat better conditions, so might be saved.

5. Egyptian Army is the absolute key. If Army stays local, Mubarak may be safe. If they falter, he is absolute toast.

6. Problem is, Army does not like Mubarak. They loved Sadat, he was one of them, but they do not like Hosni.

7. If Egypt falls, biggest winners are Iran and Russia. Iran becomes big kid on block. Russia desperately needs crude oil prices to go up to help economy. They prosper at $90 barrel crude. This could create $220, $250 a barrel crude oil prices

8. Big loser? Surprisingly not Israel. Just more enemies... who all know Israel will take war nuc if necessary to save self.... but due to US aid, Egyptian Army has great American equipment.

9. Biggest loser #2; Western Europe

10. Biggest loser #1; USA. Oil prices cripple economy. Even worse, word in every diplomatic circle becomes "See what happens to America's friends."

Bottom line; possible/probable disaster for US

This has tremendous Biblical implications for those of us who are dispensationalists.

That's like saying "Gravity has tremendous implications for those of us who are Physicists"; as if it doesn't impact anyone else.

Frankly, it doesn't matter what sort if "ist" you are, what sort of "ism" you adhere to, or what brand of "anity" you believe in; the progression will be the same for everyone.

We are already seeing an acceleration of conversions around the world. That growth will continue. Leading missions organizations have hard, boots-on-the-ground data that solidly supports completing The Great Commision WITHIN the lifetime of adults now living. Quite possibly far sooner; even as little as a decade.

To combat that burgeoning swell in the ranks of the redeemed, Satan will finally play his trump card and we will meet "the man of sin." Concurrently, as noted in the Thessalonian passage, there will be a sundden, and monumental "falling away"; a departure from the faith on the part of many. These two events are given equal stature in the text, and will be equally notable on the world stage when they play out.

Ultimately, there will be a series of global disasters of increasingly intense scope and magnitude, which will culminate in the seventh trumpet of Revelation (elsehwere referred to as "the last trumpet"), at which point dominion of all nations transfers to Christ Jesus, the dead in Christ rise to meet Him, those alive and remaining follow immediately, all to glorification, and a world on the very brink of total destruction witnesses the great, and terrible Day of The LORD.

Different streams of thought notwithstanding, there will be only ONE reality.

With that in mind, whether you agree with the timeline I've laid our, or not, remember this sober note from II Thessalonians 2:12: The ones who perish are those who do not believe the Truth. Beyond the obvious application of perishing because of failure to believe the gospel, I think there's also a warning there about failing to allow our beliefs about what we think is going to happen to be modified by the real-time working of God right in front of our eyes. IOW, I think there's a real danger that people could be so offended at God over how the end times actually work out, that they turn away, and so perish. SO, TO YOU AND TO ME AS WELL: believe what you will as to the particular sequence and nature of end time events, but don't cling to your ideas so tightly that you refuse to change your mind if God does it different than you think He will.

Yes, my bad. But the cool thing is, payback is a bitch. No regime lasts forever - when this one drops, it’s gonna get, shall we say, “interesting”.

The gov't can declare Martial Law, but they can't enforce it on 90 million unwilling, gun-owning Americans, who are already just about pissed enough to go CWII on their ass.

” Your theory has real possibilities. “

Actually, I was kinda hoping you could shoot it full of holes - I don’t find the scenario particularly comforting....

BS, drilling can begin and a sizable amount can be delivered within 8 weeks, PLUS we are only using a partial amount of oil from the North Slope, even with its age showing in some recent shutdowns the Alaska Pipeline is only delivering I think off the top of my head 1/4th of what it can do.

And right now in the middle of winter is the PRIME time to drill, the ground is frozen, the ice roads can support the weight, all it takes is the GREEN light to GO!

The White Hut Dictsurpator MUST be forced to open up offshore drilling...NOW.

Gas is already over $3.50 a gallon in Alaska, and about $3.85 for diesel, very soon it will be $4.50 a gallon for regular in Hawaii.

And electric cars won’t be the answer, they will be like spraying mace on a person on fire.

Well you and me better get a forklift when it happens and find a place where there are lots of Ferrari’s. I will drive the loader. You can give me directions and ride shotgun. ;-)

I was in my local pawn shop today. I can't post the things the guys behind the counter were saying. Like I said, folks are pissed out here.

Until the American public starts demanding leaders go like Tunisia, Egypt, et al then little will change.

The American public is incredibly docile - it’s all the HD brainwashing from TV.

This post of yours
“The original idea was sound and prudent. The decision to let it go (if an explicit decision was even made) was a mistake of the first magnitude.”
makes so much sense based on what we now know.
GOOD analysis!!

If we had known the islamist would push out any who wanted democracy we could have adjusted. Sadly 0dumbo wants the islamist to take control

The only way the White Hut Dictsurpator (LOL) will budge is if his poll numbers drop precipitously in the next six to twelve months.
If oil prices do indeed cause the economy to look like it will collapse and Prez Stymie does nothing to allay it then I'd say Mrs Palin would be especially sitting pretty leading up to 2012. What other candidate can claim to have been vociferously advocating "drill, baby, drill" for the last few years?
Let's see how those Independent voters feel when they are canceling vacations, new purchases, and eating soup six days a week just to have money to buy fuel.
I'd think they would cozy right up to Mrs Sarah Palin come election day.

John Bolton thinks Egypt is headed for democracy, not sharia

I’m with Bolton on this one.

Like the collapse of the Soviet Union, expect the unexpected.

Dispensationalist...

Mubarek has been in charge of Egypt for 25? years, not a whimper. I don’t think this bodes well for Israel.

I’m not too sure about Tunisia....however -
Yemen & Egypt = Suez Canal & Red Sea.
Iran = Straits of Hormuz.
Choke points.
