I have only watched some of the episodes. It looks like a great show....but I would want to watch from the very beginning.
I think it hurt the show. I doubt it will last beyond this season though. I haven't watched for a couple of weeks because it old having the shows be all about their relationship.
Read in the Post that Ryan tweeted that there would be an apology tonight to tune in...some speculated that it was for bringing out the poor girlfriend or for forgetting a former Idol in the opening. See you in a few...speeding home as we post.

Courtney is going to Hollywood. She conspires with Seacrest in the ultimate family fake-out. They walk out of the audition looking all sad and pouty. Seacrest: "They were really rough on you, huh?" Pause ... then Seacrest whips out the Golden Ticket! Much jumping and screaming follows.
