Steven Tyler fell off a big stage in South Dakota a while ago. I think he’s not been the same since. He’s a very happy guy though.
The backstory: When Rush was in Hawaii with his girlfriend at the time, he went to the ER for chest pains. Remember that incident? It so happened that Elton John was also in Hawaii possibly at the same hotel. Elton John found out through the grapevine that Rush was having health problems and contacted Rush and Katherine out of concern for same. Apparently, Rush was touched and so was Katherine. That’s why Elton John played at the wedding.
My power went out after Stefano and I’m catching up now. I was in the dark the rest of the night until recently. I shined the flashlight at the tv imagining it was AI but it didn’t work.
Just rain and some light thunder/lightning. The generator for the beloved power company always goes out at inopportune times.
Yeah, they had him last week too. They will keep him til he is gone.
I would think that your threads must hold the record for numbers of posts on FR. Always great to read through.
I totally agree.
Robert Drobot did a statistical analysis and that alone printed out at 18 pages of thread titles. It was astonishing. Most were call to action and status threads.
Casey is as awkward as Naiema is. They should tour as a duo and nobody will pay to see them. It’s not about race. It’s about being awkward and a creep factor with them.
Did anyone on AI ever sing in a foreign accent not their own before??? Isn’t that a total gimmick? I was stunned. At the end she said this was her culture. But even if her parents are Jamaican, why would she need to sing with an accent? Just weird.
Scotty - he was great! Netizen, I totally forgot about this song. I knew it, too. It was absolutely perfect for him.
secretariat - I was too stunned at her ja-fake-an accent to pay much attention. Her accent sounded pretty good. But how phony can you get? She is a walking gimmick, week after week.
Rod Stewart lite - stop whispering! He is still “performing,” never believing his lyrics. Nice guitar. Not into the floral Elvis look. He will make great money one day modeling for Zoom Dental posters.
Pia - I don’t know what to say. She has a great voice. But she overpowers each song. All she does is belt. What if she only had one belting moment per song, and sang with honesty and subtlety for the rest of the song? She is growing so tedious,
Little Ricky - no, you did not choose Tiny dancer! At least you kept your eyes open, but you have used up all of our patience trying to make the most of your talent. Now you’ll be counting the headlights on the highway back up to San Fran. I was a fan too.
Lauren - I hate the song. One of lauren’s eyes is bigger than the other, and covered with blue eyeshadow it was very distracting. But I do think she’s got a good voice and sweet personality.
James - Fun performance. He did it straight up Elton version. Did not do anything original except burn down elton’s favorite instrument.
Thia - she almost didn’t smile during the sad song this week. Far less pageanty! And at the end I felt some emotion from her. Progress. But will she get another week to improve?
Casey - he did not lose that much hair. Sorry, Randy, but this was the best performance of the night. Hard to believe that it’s Haley who “can tell everybody this is Her song,” but this was subtle and heartfelt and I enjoyed it.
Jacob - your best voice on the show, but still tooooooo intense. I doubt he could have had a sadder face if puppies were choked right in front of him.
Haley - while they were cuddling, somehow casey slipped them into her... Yes, he went all the way: he gave her all his growls. While this was her best performance to date, the growls were too much, and her screaming “Bennie! Bennie!” was painful.
Going home: Thia and Paul?
Oh, sorry you’re still stuck in winter. Here in LA we had low mountain snow last week, even closing the 5 at the grapevine, and tons of rain down here in the city, but this week we finally have spring! It was 80 degrees today and could be hotter tomorrow.
Naw, I just have years of practice on the Hobbit Hole Thread. YEARS of practice.
Pretty much every day in the car, in the office, and sometimes I'll sneak an earbud into a bored meeting.
Most songs are improved with a little mmmmtcha mmmmtcha - primarily for the comic effect.
His wife wanted him to perform
Scotty - Vote him off in a few weeks so he can go cut a country album.
Mia(?), the Jamacian - She should have been gone two weeks ago.
Pia - Boring and predictable!
Stephano - Go join a boy band
Lauren - Clear front runner. She has the voice, the looks and the personality.
James - He’s good. Top 3 material
Thia - Boring and predictable!
Casey - He’s slipping. #4 on my list.
Jacob - Blubbering baby
Haley - She’s in my Top 3. Looks, voice and, like Lauren, you never know what she’ll do each week.
The judges are really starting to suck. Tyler is useless. Can anyone throw out a negative comment????
Clint, what is this chart telling us?
