I think the recordholder were Terri Schiavo threads from 2003 to 2005. There hundreds of threads and thousands upon thousands of posts.

Robert Drobot did a statistical analysis and that alone printed out at 18 pages of thread titles. It was astonishing. Most were call to action and status threads.
