'Tis Thanksgiving Week!
And given that, we'll be hearing lots more stories about the new TSA passenger searches and screenings.
Renewed bailout and financial worries grip Europe,
and back home 0 seems determined to get the START treaty thru the lameduck session of Congress.
He thinks it's an escalation from the incident earlier in the year when NK sank a SK naval vessel.
It's an escalation because this time civilians were killed, and it's come directly because the response to the earlier attack was not strong enough.
And...my idea..if you take into account that strange incident off the west coast 3 weeks ago....another test of our resolve??
I was with friends yesterday....hadn't seen them for a few weeks, and various tidbits of news were not good: too much illness and loss, I'm afraid, and for this time of year. It's too hard.
Off to exercise, and a little XMAS shopping.
Later...
I am sorry for what your family is going through. (((HOB and Ed)))
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
I think your linking is spot-on. And as for testing our resolve ... we have no resolve. We treat our own citizens much worse than we do our enemies. We won’t defend our borders. Lawlessness is rampant. I fear for our sons and daughters.
Wish I could muster the motivation/drive to exercise anywhere!
Going to Tim's Thanksgiving luncheon at school today. Planned on baking cookies or something later. Will see....
Saw that. In the right place at the right time. Here we are limited to the # taken, one a season, not that I hunt anymore but in my younger days hunted every day of the season. If I got my deer right awawy I sould shoot the others with a camera. WE would join a hunting club just so we could associate with one another, do a little streathing the truth, telling a few fibs, you know what I am talking about.

Oh Jem, thank you. We are fine. Trust in the Lord, for he is soverign. I believe my family members are or will be in a better place. I just wish they’d stop journeying there around the holidays!
Trust in the Lord, for He is soverign
This looks so good, thinking of some fresh eggs and toast for today. I did sneak a small bowl of grits just a bit ago but it did not hit the spot...kids coming back from camping today, sure am glad. I miss the two boys and gd of course. The two boys are active, no double active. Tj starts baseball next season so gotta get him a new glove and bat. He is left handed, perfect for 1st base. He likes baseball too......

You been watching the revival going on in Mobile on the weekends on God network? Kids went last weekend and it was awesome, it has been going on for a long times, only on Friday and Sat. It is the talk of the entire south around here. Havn’t been yet but thinking of going soon.
Toby
Do like I do, wztch it on TV and get tired.
Toby
No. This is the first I’ve heard of it.
I doubt anything will happen to the NKorans, seeing as how we have a bowing hand wringer in our whitehouse.
Good Morning everyone. Seems the NW is having a bit of winter weather for Thanksgiving. I don’t remember ever having snow this early. I remember Thanksgiving as a nice quiet day with sunshine, seldom rain....now snow. WOW.
The temp dropped about 20 degrees it feels like in 1 hour mid morning.
Bit, right off the bat, Limbaugh picked up on your comment re: airplane security: forget the things, focus on the people.
Now I'm listening to a security guy from Stratfor on Prager's show. he also says luggage screening is not advanced enough.
Oops.
It’s not your Anniversary. It’s Greg’s Birthday. (Must have been too dark early this morning when I read my calendar.)
;o/
Happy Birthday, Greg!
;o)
I got out of LG just in time yesterday!
Survived Grandparent’s Day at school.........barely. It was a three hour deal. Cute.
Haven’t posted here in ages but had to share a conversation I had with my 7 year old nephew, Carter. We were on the way to pick up a friend who was attending the hockey game with us. On the way, we passed the signs for President George Bush Turnpike. Here is the conversation:
Carter-”George Bush Turnpike”
Dallasgal-”There is a word in front of that”
Carter-”oh, I didn’t see it.”
Dallasgal-”Here’s another sign, look quick”
Carter-”PRESIDENT George Bush Turnpike”
Dallasgal-”That’s right, it was named for President George Herbert Walker Bush who is the father of President George Walker Bush also known as George W. Bush...does that make sense?”
Carter-”yep, there are two of them but one has two middle names”
Dallasgal-”that’s right. Who is the current President of the US?”
Carter-”Obama”
Dallasgal-”What can you tell me about President Obama?”
Carter-”He’s doing bad things to the country”
Dallasgal-”What type of bad things?”
Carter-”Well he’s giving taxpayers money to auto dealerships that should be closed.”
Dallasgal-”Do you mean like giving money to General Motors so they could continue to stay in business?”
Carter-”yep, they should have closed”
Priceless. As I was relating the story to my mom after the hockey game (he was spending the night at grandma’s), she asked him how he knew this stuff. He looked at us with the most serious look on his face and said, “well, I listen and I watch the news.” Like DUH I have the most idiotic aunt and grandma. Gave us a good laugh.
Landed! PTL!
