(Actress/singer admits that she's been bitten by the country bug.)
Even though Gwyneth Paltrow currently bides her time between homes in New York City and London, the star of the upcoming flick "Country Song" admits that her future may be in farming.
"I would love it," enthuses Paltrow of rustic living. "My dream is to have land somewhere outside of Nashville and have a big organic farm outside of the city."
Paltrow may be drawing some inspiration from fellow Hollywood star Nicole Kidman, who owns a 36-acre farm, about 45 minutes outside Nashville with husband/country music star Keith Urban.
Either way, it's clear that Paltrow's recent flick -- combined with her love of singing country music -- is making an impression on her future career goals. The 38-year-old received a standing ovation at the Country Music Awards earlier this week after wowing the crowd with "Country Song" from the film's soundtrack.
Have a look at her performance below and let us know what you think? Does Gwyneth have a shot at crossing-over and making a mark for herself in country music?
She can name the farm ‘Green Acres’.
She could start by making a farm on facebook farmville like my daughter and girfriend (sadly) lol
I’m sure farming is lots of fun when you pay someone to do all the hard work.
I’ve done enough of it to know what its like and Gwinnie and Nicole frankly arn’t up to the task.
Brain Dead Hollywood.
May she get it; spend a small fortune on it; put in the work of preparing the soil, plowing and planting, only to have a bunch of Demwitted freaks tell her she can’t irrigate because of some endangered weed.
I actually like Gwinnie. She’s a libtard ditz, like most of Hollywood; but I think she is very talented. However, I was underwhelmed by her CMA performance. I’m not a country music fan; but I could not see what was so special about her singing. I thought she was just so-so.
Hi, Diana. Gwyneth is too much with us, don’t you think?
She “performed” her hit, “Country Strong” at the CMA awards the other night. Her voice isn’t bad, but the song went on too long and was ultimately boring. More than that, it’s impossible to believe that pampered hollyweird princess Gwinnie is “country strong,” as she claims in the song.
I would like to be there when she is digging in her organic farm and comes across her first huge, greasy grub.
LOL.
So much for the DREAM.
She named her kid Apple, right?
Hey, She named her child “APPLE” - that makes her eminently qualified to be a farmer.
**Im sure farming is lots of fun when you pay someone to do all the hard work**
that’s it, exactly.
she’d pay to have the farm run.
only for a photo-op would she get
her fingers soiled.
lol!
Oh golly gee. Ms. Paltrow wants to be a country gentlewoman farmer now.
I have lost count of the number of fantasies this woman has subjected the public to.
Get a real life, Ms. Paltrow.
“”I love the English lifestyle, it’s not as capitalistic as America. People don’t talk about work and money, they talk about interesting things at dinner. I like living here because I don’t fit into the bad side of American psychology. The British are much more intelligent and civilised than the Americans.””
So let’s see...
She names her kid “Apple” and announces that she’s living in England because she hates the U.S. and considers it too dangerous.
Oh, yeah, some country musician she’ll be. Maybe she can tour with the Dixie Pr...er, Chicks.
She’ll love the idea until the publicity tour is over, then she’ll never give it another thought.
Having said that I hope its true. If she moved to a farm in Nashville, she could throw a bed sheet over the clothes line to create a make-shift stage and then put on productions for the pigs and chickens rather than inflicting her acting talent on the rest of us.

Maybe she can buy the place next to my farm in central Kentucky. I don’t think my wife would like her as a neighbor though.
Oh, and she probably would love it. We do. I just got back from Hawaii, and it was not as “interesting and fun” as our place in Kentucky.
A little country air and being away from Hollywood would probably be good for her. Her singing is not too bad, but not country legend material by a long shot.
I imagine this farm is down in horse country where all the other stars are buying up all the land. The “IN” place to be now is Lieper’s Fork. Beautiful area.
