Is this Oft-repeated report true?
Various

Thought I would ask some freepers, since we are all over the nation and beyond. Particularly interested in hearing from those who live near the regions specified. What is happening in your neck of the woods?

Looks like an I-75 pothole to me! Seriously though, that’s pretty scary.

I’m in Ohio, so I’ll feel it but we weren’t as severely effected. Of course, it rang church bells in Boston so...

I wonder if this is the reason for the bridge failure in Minnesota a couple of years back?

There have been a bunch of little quakes in this part of Arkansas, a lot right outside of Guy, mostly in farm fields. (Looked at the Google maps.) I expect that it makes the cattle a bit nervous.

Underlying the Ozark plateau is an ancient volcanic uplift. That vulcanism is the reason that there are hot springs in Hot Springs, and that the only diamond deposits of any note within the continental US are in Arkansas.

Perhaps a Magma intrusion is forming underneath Guy, and we will have a new non Cascadian volcano!

Here is a map of Missouri road closures. There does seem to be some bridge work in the Bootheel area, but nothing I'd consider alarming. http://maps.modot.mo.gov/TIM/

As we reported yesterday, an unexplained crevice appeared in Menominee Township, Michigan. New footage has surfaced that gives us a much clearer picture of this mysterious event. Apparently the locals are shocked that they have not been contacted by any government officials. Despite receiving multiple calls from concerned residents, federal officials have completely ignored the situation.

Was this an earthquake? Does this correlate with the sink holes that have been showing up all over the world?

Local news reported this geological phenomenon yet most media outlets have completely ignored this truly amazing occurrence.

It’s a geological phenomenon that has both authorities and Menominee Township residents scratching their heads. A large crevice, stretching almost two football fields, suddenly appeared in the woods near Birch Creek earlier this week. Upper Michigan Source

Is there a normal explanation or is this another event in the long line of recent earth changes?
