A Chinese airport was closed after this mysterious object was spotted in the sky.
Arcing over Zhejiang's provincial capital Hangzhou, the UFO appeared to glow with an eerie white light and left a bright trail in its wake.
Xiaoshan Airport was closed after the UFO was detected at around 9 pm and dozens of flights had to be diverted. Stunned witnesses reported seeing a comet-like fireball in the sky and a number of local residents took photos of the strange ball of light.
A local bus driver, giving his name only as Yu, said he had seen a strange glowing object in the sky late on Wednesday afternoon.
'The thing suddenly ran westwards fast, like it was escaping from something,' he said.

I am unable to tell or calculate. That’s for someone with more geekiness than I. Kinda reminds me of Princess Leia’s ship in Star Wars.

Interesting.
I don’t think such a tail is typical of ‘conventional’ UFO’s.
Perhaps it is a military craft of some sort.
Perhaps even of the UFO technology variety . . . modified.

Looks like the "Coors Train" on a Friday night...
"People of the world,
join hands,
start a love train, love train"...
A local bus driver, giving his name only as Yu,...
Was this cat named after the lyrics in a Pink Floyd song?...
"Hey Yu, watching UFO's alone can you help me?..."

The first photo looks like the gondola of a blimp at night. The second pic is of a blimp with the gas spewing out one end, and really haulin....

I’m curious if there was any reports of a sonic boom. That would give us an indication of the speed.

Haven’t read of any.
However, the physics of the authentic UFO’s preclude sonic booms. They virtually never occur even though the speed is in the tens of thousands of mph’s.
Some folks assert that it has to do with ionization of a layer of air around the craft. Others insist it is other exotic aspects of their power technologies.
