Thank you for your Beautiful #1308, Meg! Your Pics and Frames are
Awesome!
My Pics I had Snapped of the Clumps of Black-Eyed Susans that are Growing Around my House have Such Big Bytes (even after Downsizing/Compressing) that I Ended Up Posting a Pic of a Single Black-Eyed Susan for my Lord's Day Graphic, that had Fewer Bytes; it was the Prettiest Susan of them All, and the Most Colorful, and is Growing Right in Front of an Old Wheel Barrow that I Use as a Planter for Marigolds and Sweet Williams, so those Flowers Made a Nice Background for the Susan in my Lord's Day Post.
Our Lord's Creations are So Beautiful; He is Wonderful!

June 14, 2010
I am the flag of the United States of America.
I was born on June 14, 1777, in Philadelphia.
There the Continental Congress adopted my stars and stripes as the national flag.
My thirteen stripes alternating red and white, with a union of thirteen white stars in a field of blue, represented a new constellation, a new nation dedicated to the personal and religious liberty of mankind.
Today fifty stars signal from my union, one for each of the fifty sovereign states in the greatest constitutional republic the world has ever known.
My colors symbolize the patriotic ideals and spiritual qualities of the citizens of my country.
My red stripes proclaim the fearless courage and integrity of American men and boys and the self-sacrifice and devotion of American mothers and daughters.
My white stripes stand for liberty and equality for all.
My blue is the blue of heaven, loyalty, and faith.
I represent these eternal principles: liberty, justice, and humanity.
I embody American freedom: freedom of speech, religion, assembly, the press, and the sanctity of the home.
I typify that indomitable spirit of determination brought to my land by Christopher Columbus and by all my forefathers - the Pilgrims, Puritans, settlers at James town and Plymouth.
I am as old as my nation.
I am a living symbol of my nation's law: the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights.
I voice Abraham Lincoln's philosophy: "A government of the people, by the people, for the people."
I stand guard over my nation's schools, the seedbed of good citizenship and true patriotism.
I am displayed in every schoolroom throughout my nation; every schoolyard has a flag pole for my display.
Daily thousands upon thousands of boys and girls pledge their allegiance to me and my country.
I have my own law - Public Law 829, "The Flag Code" - which definitely states my correct use and display for all occasions and situations.
I have my special day, Flag Day. June 14 is set aside to honor my birth.
Americans, I am the sacred emblem of your country. I symbolize your birthright, your heritage of liberty purchased with blood and sorrow.
I am your title deed of freedom, which is yours to enjoy and hold in trust for posterity.
If you fail to keep this sacred trust inviolate, if I am nullified and destroyed, you and your children will become slaves to dictators and despots.
Eternal vigilance is your price of freedom.
As you see me silhouetted against the peaceful skies of my country, remind yourself that I am the flag of your country, that I stand for what you are - no more, no less.
Guard me well, lest your freedom perish from the earth.
Dedicate your lives to those principles for which I stand: "One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
I was created in freedom. I made my first appearance in a battle for human liberty.
God grant that I may spend eternity in my "land of the free and the home of the brave" and that I shall ever be known as "Old Glory," the flag of the United States of America.
The flag should be displayed, from sunrise to sunset, on all days when the weather permits, especially on: New Year's Day Inauguration Day Martin Luther King's Birthday Lincoln's Birthday Washington's Birthday Easter Sunday Patriots Day, April 19 National Day of Prayer (1st Thurs in May) Mother's Day Armed Forces Day Memorial Day (half-staff until noon) Flag Day Independence Day, July 4th Labor Day Constitution Day Columbus Day, October 12th Navy Day Veterans Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day Election Days
and such other days as may be proclaimed by the President of the United States.

I Am the Flag Of the United States Of America
My name is Old Glory. I fly atop the world's tallest buildings. I stand watch in America's halls of justice. I fly majestically over institutions of learning. I stand guard with power in the world. Look up and see me.
I stand for peace, honor, truth and justice. I stand for freedom. I am confident. I am arrogant. I am proud.
When I am flown with my fellow banners, My head is a little higher, My colors a little truer. I bow to no one!
I am recognized all over the world. I am worshipped - I am saluted. I am loved - I am revered. I am respected - and I am feared.
I have fought in every battle of every war for more then 200 years. I was flown at Valley Forge, Gettysburg, Shiloh and Appomattox. I was there at San Juan Hill, the trenches of France, . in the Argonne Forest, Anzio, Rome and the beaches of Normandy. Guam, Okinawa, Korea and KheSan, Saigon, Vietnam know me. . I'm presently in the mountains of Afganistan and the hot and dusty deserts of Iraq . and wherever freedom is needed.
I led my troops, I was dirty, battleworn and tired, But my soldiers cheered me and I was proud. I have been burned, torn and trampled . on the streets of countries I have helped set free. It does not hurt for I am invincible. I have been soiled upon, burned, torn and trampled in the streets of my country. And when it's done by those Whom I've served in battle - It HURTS!.
But I shall overcome - for I am strong. I have slipped the bonds of Earth and stood watch over. the uncharted frontiers of space from my vantage point on the moon. I have borne silent witness to all of America's finest hours. But my finest hours are yet to come. When I am torn into strips and used . as bandages for my wounded comrades on the battlefield, When I am flown at half-mast to honor my soldier, Or when I lie in the trembling arms of a grieving parent at the grave of their fallen son or daughter,
I am proud

GOOD MILITARY MONDAY TO AMYS PLACE!
The Soldiers Code
1) I am an American fighting man. I serve in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.
2) I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender my men while they still have the means to resist.
3) If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.
4) If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me, and will back them up in every way.
5) When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am bound to give only name, rank, service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies, or harmful to their cause.
6) I will never forget that I am an American fighting man, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America.
President Dwight D. Eisenhower, August, 1955.

The Good Story June 14, 2010
People tend to remember negative images more than they do positive ones, according to an experiment conducted at the University of Chicago. While people claim that they want to turn away from the barrage of bad news in the mediareports on tragedies, diseases, economic downturnsthis study suggests that their minds are drawn to the stories.
Catherine Hankey (1834-1911) was more interested in the good news. She had a great desire to see young women come to know Christ. In 1866, she became very ill. As she lay in bed, she thought about all those with whom she had shared the story of Jesus redemption, and she wished that someone would visit and comfort her with the old, old story. Thats when she wrote the poem that later became a hymn, Tell Me the Old, Old Story:
Tell me the story slowly, that I may take it in
That wonderful redemption, Gods remedy for sin.
Tell me the story often, for I forget so soon;
The early dew of morning has passed away at noon.
We never tire of hearing the story that because of His great love God sent His one and only Son to this earth (John 3:16). He lived a perfect life, took our sin upon Himself when He was crucified, and 3 days later rose again (Luke 23:44-24:3). When we receive Him as our Savior, we are given eternal life and become His children (John 1:12).
Tell someone the old, old story of Jesus and His love. They need some good news.
The good news of Christ is the best news in the world.
Read: Luke 23:44-24:3
They found the stone rolled away from the tomb. Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
Luke 24:2-
